I am not pushing Georgia. There are real advantages to an Orlando area meeting.

I'm happy with the consensus. Driving is not a problem ~ as long as I get to see everyone again!

I'll meet you guys anytime, anywhere, if it is at all possible! I miss you all so much! Meeting in person cements relationships very quickly after developing friendships online. There is something extraordinarily wonderful about a2kers, both online and in person.

One thing that made this meeting so successful was being together for several days. That way, we had a chance to do more than the kind of small talk that usually takes place at a dinner.

I second/third what Diane said ... I would drive/fly anywhere to meet you all again.

I was just thinking about it all this evening, how I wish you all lived closer so that we could get together more often.

On the plus side, this is 2003, no place is that far away!

I think maintaining relationships is very important to the nurturing process, so if we all work at this, it will flower and blossom and deepen as time goes by.

Besides, I think everyone should get away once in a while, from the normal, humdrum of life in order to gain perspective and grow.

Well done, everybody, an enjoyable read.
You Americans are so eMOtional
Not like us reserved Brits Wink

(so, you enjoy yourselves more! But we had a good time at the London meet, despite being mere Brits. Well, come to think of it, we had three international jetsetters as well as the home-grown members!)

Yeah, well, we DO tend to be a bit mushy. But, I like it that way!

Glad you enjoyed the thread, McTag. Very Happy

Yeah McTag, wish we could have been to the London gathering, but time was too short for planning purposes!

I like that Phoenix, warm and fuzzy:)

I read all the posts and looked at all the photos of the Florida gathering with great interest. Wonderful reading and viewing. I'd love to meet you all.

I'll be spending a couple of weeks in the Keys at Christmas again this year. Mr. M. and I are planning to drive down again with the Mini Max (our pup) and we'll hook up with our kids in Miami when they fly down after exams. We'll be sure to make a reservation at the Travelodge ... if you allow pets!

Hey, what about us Europeans who were at the Florida gathering???? Emotional? Mushy? Fuzzy? Warm? Or the cool Swedish guy and his oh so German wife... Shocked

Just kidding Very Happy I do pretty well with emotions - crying half way to the airport in Melbourne.

To be honest, the other half of the way I was worried to run out of gas. We had prepaid the gas and were supposed to return the car empty. Being a good German I did return the car empty... BigDice kept the checking the computer to see how many miles we could go. I think it was something around seven at the end.

It seems surreal this week is over. After being on vacation, meeting all our A2K'rs, being able to galavant and stay out late, now I have to wake up in the morning and go back to work:(

All good things must come to an end. I guess we all need some semblance of order in our lives, and going to work definitely gives me that!

Have a great week kids!

Ah, bigdice. I never turn my back on a friend unless he is taking candid shots. Laughing

Thanks, buddy. What fun and what a marvelous respite from surrealism, Misti. Smile

Phoenix, you don't even look like somebody's mother, let alone somebody's mother-in-law.

And, Diane with her cool and limpid green eyes...and Ms. Rae who is all things to all people...and Ur who couldn't look bad even if she tried..and mapleleaf who wants to do it again...and of course, the ansel adams of Germany. Laughing

Happy Easter to one and all.
