Hey JD, you don't need to bring your 'puter, you're all welcome to use mine, and I'm sure Rae wouldn't mind at all if you used hers! Excess baggage Joanne.

I like your new doo too! It's YOU!

BD: Right, we won't need the rec room, and the weather is always beautiful at that time of year, and Easter time. Sooooo, winging good wishes, I know we won't have any problem with the weather:)

Misti, No numbers are available yet, but Asherman is trying to keep track of those interested. He's even talked to some hotel for a group rate, and some of the people are talking about a one day trek to Taos. We're still trying to tie down some dates, but it looks like sometime during the last two weeks of May. I can't do it any earlier, because I'll be returning from my trip to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Island on May 16. I've looked at some airfare from San Jose to Albuquerque, and it looks pretty good. Many flights available, but all have one stop - either Denver or Phoenix all less than $250 for r/t. Wink c.i.

c.i., that's great news! Maybe you need to start a thread on the Albequerqe Gathering so we can follow it.

How many do you have so far?

That sounds great, c.i. I'll keep watching your thread.

Meanwhile, we got hit by winter again. It has been snowing all day and driving home from work was no fun at all. Lucky for me there is a bar across the street from our place so I didn't have to drive to go out tonight :-) Wine and tapas! And only two more months to Florida!!!! :-))

urs, Tapas in Germany? I love it; this international mix of restaurants/pubs/bars in almost every country in the world. Did you know that "karaoke" started in Japan? Wink c.i.

As to the tapas - the owner of the bar is Turkish, the guy who made the tapas is Italian. Talk about international!

Some interesting goings-on for our future visitors, I just wish you could see this, it's really something else.

Columbia to land

Space orbiter Columbia is scheduled to land at Kennedy Space Center about 9:16 a.m. Saturday after 255 orbits. Unlike launches for which a "go" for liftoff can be given within minutes of changing weather conditions, the landing site must be chosen more than an hour before touchdown. A switch in sites usually can be made up to 90 minutes prior to landing.

urs, Not so unusual in the California. We have Mexicans working in every cultural restaurant in Silicon Valley, Indian, American, Chinese, Japanese, and even Mexican. What makes it funny is watching these Mexicans speaking Japanese as you walk into the restaurant - shouting "irashai!" c.i.
