There are actually 2 reasons for the naming of the "Dark Ages" . What you posted there, the lack of summer, is one . The other is the vast majority of Christian Bishops were of Aryan belief, ie they didnt believe Jesus was God but was a prophet . After many centuries of pressure, the belief swung around to what Constantinius had decided : Jesus was God .
