I wrote an incorrect answer in a test, but I still do not konw why.
The question is:Mrs Jones:My daughter never______(write)to me so I never know what she is doing.
I fiiled in the blank with writes, but the correct answer is write.
Could you please tell why?

@Ina Guo,
I would say correct answer is writes-
My daughter is 3rd person singular.

The correct answer is definitely NOT 'write'. It is 'writes'.

@Ina Guo,
Beside the question of write/writes there is one more thing. It is not a real mistake, but not a very good language. There are two never in the sentence.

@saab,
Just for fun, pick one of the following. There are three twos, tos, or toos in the English language.

@roger,
There are two twos - terrible twos - dressed in plus twos too.
I have one toe with red nailpolish and two toes with green.
In their dictionary there are no tos and no toos
And here I hear you protest
