If you want a timur/frank thread, start one. Please leave the rest of us in relative peace.

And same to you, Timur. I tend to be on your side after years of Frank, but really, none of this is useful and it is bludgeonly distructive for conversation for the rest of us. Sort of like a hungry hyena cage.

Please, in any case, don't put it into this new thread, make your own on the subject that engages both of you.

As a hint, I've a long history of friends of varied persuasions, in the beginning quite a huge surprise. I've described that here more than once, not that you need to look it up.
Sometimes years are useful. I think you have a blind spot in your way.

Being "insulting?" Maybe, but I don't look at it that way. A spade is a spade, so why not just say so?

I will admit that I refrain from giving them the utmost respect that they demand because they haven't earned it. Respect cannot be forced, it must be earned. You can, of course, "pretend" to respect something you don't, but that aint respect--it's just a lie, that's all.
