I expect the mainstream media to minimize the importance of this (emphasizing Sanders is from neighboring Vermont, for example), but this is significant because it means (1) the momentum for Bernie Sanders is growing, (2) it's growing even in a relatively conservative state like New Hampshire, whose Democrats tend to be centrist rather than to the left of the party, and (3) it's growing even in a state whose Democrats went for Hillary Clinton over Obama in the 2008 primary.

Republicans - 5 minutes updates, interviews with Trump and Fiorina

How sad for the Democrat Party...

...but...Democrats have always been that party's greatest danger.

As I said earlier...they figure they've mastered the art of shooting themselves in the foot...

...and are now aiming at the roof of their mouths.

Hey...perseverance counts for something.

@Frank Apisa,
I don't think it is really going to Sanders who will bring Hillary down, but this email stuff which is now going to the Justice Department. I just hope Biden runs if it really looks like Hillary's going down. Not that Sander's won't have a chance, I just don't think he will get make it through the primary with the minority vote despite his record on minority issues.

@revelette2,
Biden, who will be even easier for the R's to beat than Hillary would be.

@revelette2,
As I have said many times, I don't think Sanders will bring Hillary down...if she is brought down.

Whoever is selected to head the Dem ticket will, in my opinion, be much, much, much the better choice than anyone who heads the Republican ticket.

The Dem candidate will get my vote.

That bottom line should read:

Share if you appreciate a politician with vision and consistency...even though you know the guy will almost insure a Republican victory.

They are getting worried now. Bernie's kicking ass.

Pro-Clinton Senator Sees Something Trump-Like In Bernie Sanders' Rise

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) compared Sen. Bernie Sanders' rise in popularity within the Democratic presidential race to that of real estate mogul Donald Trump on the Republican side on Wednesday.

McCaskill, who declared her support for Hillary Clinton back in 2013, told CNN's "New Day" that both Sanders and Trump are tapping into public "cynicism and frustration with the government."

"People are really aggravated at the government right now," McCaskill said. "There are a lot of people that are just going, 'Really? You guys can't get anything done? All you do is fight.'"

McCaskill, who previously called the Vermont independent senator "too liberal" to win the Democratic nomination, also noted that both men have so far avoided super PAC ties. Trump is mainly financing himself, and Sanders refuses to accept support from a super PAC.

While McCaskill isn't the only person to draw comparisons between the two candidates, Sanders rejected the idea on NBC's "Meet the Press" this month.

"I think the chord that we are touching all over the country is that people are profoundly disgusted with the economics that make the richest people richer and everybody else poorer," Sanders said.

Trump is -- as he often reminds people -- very, very rich.

McCaskill's comments came on the same day that Sanders topped Clinton in a New Hampshire poll.

Seriously? Don't you mean the Democtic Party?

Just for you, the national press is picking it up. A real real genuine popular grass roots support and you compare Bernie to the Donald?

@Frank Apisa,
Why because all those things are true? You believe he American people will prefer tRump or Bush or that little weasel Gov Scott Walker - ever notice how in every photograph he looks like he just got caught doing something?

He looks like Lee Harvey Oswald and Sen Joe McCarthy's love child.

@Olivier5,
Excuse me Oliver but one of the knocks on Hillery is that she is to business oriented. I dont believe anyone who has followed her and Bill would claim either were communist.

Calm down, Bobsal.

I think Sanders would be a loser if he were on the Dem ticket...and I do not want the Dem ticket to be a loser.

I DO NOT WANT THE DEM TICKET TO BE A LOSER!

That is the long and the short of it.

Calm down.

I simply have to jump in with my thoughts regarding Scott Walker. By all accounts he should have been recalled...wonder how he managed to escape? You do have a way with words, Bobsal. I thought I was the only one who looked at Scott Walker as if he were a natural born sneaky creep. There's something about the man that looks furtive. Walker is certainly not the brightest bulb, but he's a protégé of the Koch brothers. It will be sheer joy to see him knocked flat on his rear.
