The Hillary people here are getting really nasty. I take that as a good sign. We will see how things go after the Iowa caucus on Monday.

I'm mean, because I comment on the neverending stream of Hillary hate. I'm mean, because I say I don't see anything useful in the dozens of smears and slams except to vent bile. I'm mean.

Don't look now, but I think you got yourself a bit of a biased viewpoint. Possibly Hillary derangement syndrome.

I'll tell you how things will go on Tuesday. Either Hillary or Bernie will win. If you mean let's see if a Bernie victory changes anything here - look to the same people spewing daily Hillary bile to intensify either by gloating over a win or howling louder hatred over a loss.

@edgarblythe,
Bull shyt. Everyone was admitting Bernie is a fairly good guy but isent living in the real world. No one was bashing him and what they did say was that he couldent get a republican congress to do any of the things he claims he would do. From the start Lash was posting lie after lie as fact when it was nothing but opinion on her part. But it sure as hell has been working. If Bernie wins the dem candidacy and Trump is elected I hope the first union the Supreme Court busts is the school teachers union.

Edgar please show posts of people here "trashing" Bernie, or admit you made that up.

@glitterbag,
I haven't attacked you any more than your posts to me could be perceived as attacks. I think you have poor self-awareness.

@maxdancona,
*grin* I agree. I'm dying to fly out to Iowa and knock on doors. I've never been so excited about a political season.

@snood,
I am referring primarily to Hillary's campaign and the Democratic Party and the Wall Street people. They lie and scheme to keep Sanders from having a shot at competing. If they were any good at it, Bernie would be back there with O'Malley. How it evolved here, I am not certain. I was not even on a2k for a time. But I do know that I will never back off digging into Hillary's background and qualifications.

@snood,
Do you notice that I comment of things she has done that have caused a negative impact on our country? It's not empty hate. It's directly related to what she and her husband have done.

There's a BIG difference. And be sure - the reason she's tanking and Bernie is rising - and the same things that worked together for Obama last time - revolve around her trustworthiness based on her.

Look around the country. Bernie Sanders was a laughable Socialist on the fringes of acceptability. He's a 74 year old Jew from Brooklyn. He's agnostic. In what world can this guy become the nominee?

In the one where Hillary Clinton is the only other choice.

Think about it. Lash on A2K isn't the only one who thinks Hillary Clinton is to be avoided as the American president.

Nurses against Goldman Sachs and Big Pharma...

I'll proudly take the nurses' money for their preferred presidential candidate.

I see it the way lash stated it. If I post a negative about Clinton, it's because I consider it important information, most of the time. It is not just a tit for tat thing, in my view, but most people seem to take it that way.

@Lash,
I will add that despite those formerly-perceived negatives about Bernie as an American presidential candidate, he also happens to be the most credible human being running for president in my lifetime - but we all know there was a time not long ago that any of those characteristics I listed in a presidential candidate would have been the kiss of death. Barack Obama was the first to break the color barrier - and this country, so starved for a credible human being, is poised to break more.

I'm very thankful millennials don't give a crap about those old ridiculous things that used to make or break a candidate - and increasingly thankful that others are starting to see the light, too.

I think Bernie is going to win.

I think if Hillary Clinton had a reputation for honesty or decency, Bernie might not have had such a chance.

I might have preferred to send a woman to the Oval if they were closely matched integrity-wise.

But, they are on different planets.

I keep hearing that Bernie’s surge is being fueled by voters “angry about income inequality,” and Trump’s is fueled by voters “angry about immigration and terrorism.”
Wrong. Both are fueled by voters fed up with a political-economic system increasingly run by an oligarchy of corporate executives, Wall Street bankers, and billionaires – who have rigged it so they gain even more wealth and power, and leave almost everyone else behind.
One group of fed-up voters is turning toward a bigoted authoritarian strongman (himself a billionaire) who promises to wrest power away from this elite through his own incendiary personality. The other group of fed-up voters is turning toward a movement leader who seeks to wrest power away from this elite by mobilizing average Americans for a “political revolution.”
In other words, the alternatives being posed are either fascism or real democracy. And what happens in Iowa and New Hampshire over the next 9 days will give us clues about which way we’re headed – or whether the oligarchy remains in charge.

This, to me, was a very even-handed piece that basically tells the Hillary story.

Well done, Gail Sheehy.

Now, rabel, that is going too far. Hoping the republicans bust the teachers union punishes more than Lash, besides, you shouldn't want to punish Lash in such a fashion. Hope you were just joking. Otherwise, good post and correct.

@RABEL222,
I got a deal for you. I could use a vacation, and one of us needs to cop to the truth about whether or not I've lied about Hillary Clinton.

I am under the impression I have not. I think what I've said about Hillary Clinton has been either opinion - which we are all currently entitled to - or facts backed up by links - like most everyone else.

You say I lied. I say prove it. There is a small possibility that I'm deceiving myself. If so, I want to know.

You show me where I lied, and I'll admit it was a lie, and not post here for a week.

Obviously, I'd never say such a thing if I lied intentionally - and that is the definition of a lie; however, let's see for once and for all. Put up or shut up.

The only thing I said here that was intentionally untrue - I said on purpose - in response to you doing the same to me. Something about antisemitism...

But, if it would excite you for a few minutes to think you may send me off for a week, find the lie I told about Hillary Clinton.

Since I'm dealing with Clinton supporters, I feel the need to define the word lie, as I have reclined in the past and likely spoken of it.

Here is the only definition applicable to my offer:

lie: a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.

I do need a vacation, and wish you good luck in finding me intentionally lying about Hillary Clinton. In the off-chance I'm mistaken, I will take a self-searching sabbatical to reflect of my bad deeds and renew my dedication to fighting injustice and truth-telling upon my return. And as an added bonus, will not speak negatively - and please regard the time during the election cycle I make this noteworthy vow - about Hillary Clinton for another week after my return.

....or you're a liar, you old liar.
