No, but I can infer - especially now that you've given me context.

Are you trying to say that you've been burned by a young lady? How old are you by the way?

I'm not going to answer the obvious - besides you already know what it is.

Do you want to know how old I am?
I'm 42.

Am I married?
Yes, though legally separated for the past l8 months.

Would I ever get involved in an internet relationship?
No - how could I possibly know someone well enough over the computer to do so. I have two children who are my most precious priority and I would never jeopardize their happiness to fulfill my own. Time enough for that when they are grown.

Am I interested in a romantic relationship right now? No, I've been attached to a male in one way or another since I was l5 years old. I do not know what will happen with my marriage - I love my husband-he's been my best friend since I was l8 years old-and though we have issues, my heart's deepest desire would be for my family to remain intact, because my children love their father and they love us together.

Do I understand how people can develop crushes? Yes, especially
if they are young.

Do I care if noone here is interested in all this? No, I felt it was necessary for me to do.

Can we continue the game now? Yes, we can, and hopefully anyone will feel free to answer.

Chocolate pie. Chocolate everything.

Spendius, did you know Aidan is a female?

Aidan, wow thanks for sharing--what prompted you to share that? I know more about you than almost anyone on here now. Well all the non-idea stuff anyway.

Game Q: What issues do (did) you have in your current or last relationship? (Aidan or anyone can answer this)

I had the issue of depression in a partner. Not every issue that arises in a relationship is a mutually caused one, but it took some time to see that. My husband was profoundly depressed and eventually took his own life, having been totally different for the first 25 years so that our marriage was very good. We always talked out relationship issues, and were honest with one another, even about infidelities.

What relationship issues do you think important, have you found problematic?

I'm glad you asked that, because I had been considering having a dog but..then would find myself unable to travel. I have friends who are fortunate to have found great kennels; when I left Hong Kong I was lucky enough to find someone who wanted an older dog as she wasn't planning to stay very long (she's still there, the dog died of old age). Of course if you were to campervan through Europe, the dog would be useful and companionable. I have been contemplating this too.

Would you sell up and travel (if pets, children etc weren't an issue?))

Who knows, it's OK now in the so called summer but it always seems to be on my mind. The problem is I would never be able to return to West Wales as I could not afford even the smallest of properties if I spent money travelling. It's a burning your boats thing.

Should I even be considering this at 60 when I have a nice little life? What a terrible term, nice little life, that's perhaps the problem.

Ditto ditto ditto. Totnes affords me a nice little life too. But 60 is the new 40 so there is lots of life left.

Could you not let your house and travel on the rental? Travelling in Asia and S America is cheap...

I live on an estate where 7 out of 16 houses are holiday homes, so I could probably do quite well letting. It's certainly worth thinking about.

Why is life so complicated, or is it?

Sorry folks-I'll have to go back a little because aidan deserves an answer of sorts.

aidan-I thought you were a young man,About 18.Student.A bit intense.Bum fluff is the first sproutings of the male beard. In its early stages it is very similar to the fine hairs which are permanently on your bottom,if you don't mind my using such a term now I know you are a mature lady, and which,as you know, don't grow, for reasons of evolutionary efficiency and trouser design and maintenance. If ever you hear on the news that bottom hairs have suddenly started exploring the world at the same speed the hairs on a young gentleman's face do you should ring your bank and buy shares in Wilkinson Sword. In case you think I'm being silly there I might say that there is much more chance of that happening than that the philosophers on the P&D forum will tease out the meanings of the concepts they tease.

Hence-bum-fluff.
I'm sorry. We only do word games don't we?

I have known, and do know now,a larger number of ladies in your approximate position.I used to chase some of them around the bushes from time to time but I gave it up when I realised that they hadn't learned any lessons from their experience. They wanted to give it another go.Nowadays,I feel that there is nothing I can say.It makes me sad.It really does. There must be 10 of them in my pub.I just don't feel that they could take the advice I would give them if I were to be honest. It would be altogether too dramatic for them.

So I don't know. But it was a nice post.It even brought a slight tension into EM's throat and that takes a bit of doing. And mine as well.

Just be honest and not too impatient about it being recognised. It will be.

Have fun on here and don't take me too seriously.
There's a bit of love in everything I write.

What do you think the next question should be?
