Exactly what I imagined, a young lady of great beauty, oozing self confidence, mysterious and single.

That is pretty accurate, isn't?

At eight tonight, I was on the Catskill Turnpike (rt. 28) driving.

Do you like to take road trips? If you could take one to anywhere, where would you go and who would you go with?

Yes, I would like travel through South America and have Aidan as my navigator and co-driver.

Do the lost civilisations of South America hold interest for you?

Laughing You know they do...We should do it Dutchy. You could fly to NY (in October one year- then you'd get to see the foliage and that'd be exactly the time of the year we should start heading south anyway). Then if I'd had my say as the navigator, I'd say we should take the train across Canada- something I've always wanted to do anyway- see the Rockies, etc....end up on the west coast in Vancouver. Then we should just drive south down the west coast of Washington, Oregon, California- all way down the west coast of Mexico - which is STUNNING- I'd love to see that again. From there...we'd have to start reading a map I guess...

One important issue though would be: Do you think we have compatible musical tastes? That'd be pretty important- don't you think so?

Aidan that trip sounds so wonderful, I've heard so much about Canada, and would love to include that in the trip. As far as musical tastes is concerned, I'm a great fan of the Spanish Guitar (Flamenco), and Ottmar Liebert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dCMvZ4lBKI and Armik are two of my favourite players.

How long do you think such a trip will take?

Well, ideally, I'd like to do from October through the autumn and be back in time for Christmas- it'd take that long for me to feel that I could see everything and spend time and really kind of get immersed in the whole thing.
I know you're retired, so the issue would be me and my time, and for me, a 10 or 12 week trip would mean quitting my job and hiring a nanny Laughing so it's really not a viable option me for another three years or so....but then....west coast of North and South America- watch OUT!

A friend of mine is retiring from teaching this year - he just turned sixty and he's scoping out opening an English/Spanish language school in Guatemala. Maybe a summertime trip would work and then I could bring my daughter along for the experience, and that'd solve the nanny issue.

Are you someone who thinks and travels spontaneously- or do you like to plan every single detail of your itenerary before you set out?

I usually work out my plans well beforehand and obtain details of what I want to see, but I'm flexible and allow for spontanity. btw. Did you approve of my taste of music?

Under the stars. I once slept under the stars when some friends and I went hiking to the top of a mountain. (What a show off I am). Laughing

Do you ever sleep at the top of a mountain? Laughing

In two days I'm going to sleep under the stars in Musandam, and that is quite exciting. Samarkand was, too.
