No idea. Our Gum trees are forever green but loose their bark and leaves all year round, beautiful trees but oh so messy. Not suitable for suburbia really but everybody grows them.
Do you often have Tornado's?
Usually only in the spring and the fall during season changes...hot air meeting cold air is what causes them to spring up - and some pretty frightening thunderstorms too. But Alabama does not have it that bad...I'd say 20 a year maybe...there are some places like Texas that have hundreds.
What about you? Do you all have Tornados?
We have very destructive Cyclones and Hurricanes in the tropical regions of Australia (northern part of the country) every year. We in the south get the usual wind and storms in winter but nothing destructive. Cyclone Tracy destroyed the City of Darwin completely on Christmas Day 1974 with the loss of 75 lives, worst one to hit Australia.
How hot does it get during your summer?
Upper 90's is the average...occasional triple digits...like 106 this summer...but the humidity is the kicker...70, 80% a lot of times.
Do you live in the city or the outback?
In the city, our highest reading has been 117, we get quite a few days over 100, but it is a clear heat and easy to bear.
Do you have a long hot summer like we do here?
Generally gets really hot somewhere in May and lasts through October - has been known to begin earlier or later...many Christmases spent in shorts. Just depends!
Do you have grandkids Dutchy?
Yes, three, the loves of my life.
Will you be watching the World Series on TV?
Yes I will - I am sure.
Three is a great number, boys, girls both? how old?
Indiah (girl) 9, Cooper 7, and Archer 2
Do you like their names?
Awesome names. Very different...I almost named my baby Cooper.
Do you get to see them much?
Unfortunately not, they live 500 miles from here. About 6 times a year but we talk a lot per skype and web cam. Will be spending Christmas with them.
Your boys in bed yet?
In bed - but not asleep!
I am about to head myself
I can't blame you after last night. Good Night
No doubt we'll see you again tomorrow?
I'm not sure....tomorrow seems pretty terribly planned!
Is it just me or are things slow around here nowadays?
You are comparing your fast study pace to the leisurely pace of the threads, we're in no hurry, you are.
Are you happy with your study progress?
No, not at all. I am very disappointed in myself.
You regularly visit the public library?
True
Why are you disappointed?
Because of the financial outlay, and not completing the degree.
Have you already started packing for your trip?
No, only planning the places I want to visit. I thought I would be going this Saturday but I'm told it is Saturday week.
You think you will complete your degree one day?
Nope, not a chance. Age is getting away from me career-wise. I still want to work in that industry though.
When you were younger, did you always hope for the career that you actually had? Or did you want to be something else?
