I do, but don't you think it depends on the length of such communication? An exchange of a few e-mails doesn't qualify in my opnion, it must be an intereaction of some depth over a considerable period of time. However by exchanging little snippets as we are doing here , one does broaden his/her horizons in some little way which can pave the way for greater knowledge about a person, culture country etc. Expanded knowledge can only by obtained by asking questions. That's how I see it.

Do you think I understood your question?

Yes.

Wear out your welcome? I think they should pay you money to stay here, for goodness sake. You're a mainstay here on these trivia threads-I don't know what they would do without you Dutchy.

Beautiful morning here-sun's out, foliage is spectacular...what kind of day is it where you are?

Thank you for the compliment Aidan. Smile It has been a very warm day here, 35 degrees celcius which is about 95 degrees in your part of the world and the same again tomorrow. You have a great Sunday.

Doing any thing special today?

A tree falling on my house? Being in a five care pile-up? The kids hiding behind a door and jumping out in front of me in the dark? That's just to name a few!

Why?

Wouldn't want to think of it. We're surrounded by huge Gum trees (my neighbours) and should they come down, they do naturally even without wind, our house will be flattended!

Do you have emergency services who clear the debris and make your house safe after such an incident?

Well yes, if it is a true emergency...that was not. It just fell ON the house so it was inconvenient and a pain in the tookus but not an emergency...it never even dawned on me to call them.

We have Sweet Gum trees...is that the same as a Gum Tree?
