Totally agree with you on that issue Spendi, however, it's rather spectacular to receive long service ornaments, rings, watches bracelets, it helps folk like me realise how long they have been married for, how many years they have been paying outrageously high taxes and there's the obvious benefit of being able to tell the time or inform the person who doesn't have a watch.
