I see us in the early stages of that scenario at present. Necessity being the mother of invention, evolution is based on our 'urgent needs'

Everything we do will eventually be under view, (most is at present) do you think that total control of the masses and regulation of our habits is definitely on the agenda?

I've no doubt that it is on the agenda...However, I believe that it would be impossible to achieve total control because we tend to adapt and find new methods all the time.

Since my question got added later, I will pose it again now...Do you believe that altruism is possible?

By some people, not by others- it depends on the individual characteristics of the person.

Jenny actually answer your question akin to how I would have responded, and consequently have little to add, save it be that I think you probably get to know a person more deeply on these forum type pages, as there is little if anything hidden at all amongst most contributors in the particular spheres we clique in!

Do you understand and agree with that?
to the question I asked which was: Do you think you'd be able to be best friends with a person you had never met, to which I'd like to respond:

Do I agree with that? No. I think much is hidden on these pages amongst contributors.
For myself, I enjoy using my senses too much to sacrifice having that option, especially in terms of a friend. If I recognize a kinship or like mind, my first instinct is to want to attach a context- not so much a visual, but definitely an audio- voice is very important to me- I also want to reach out and touch, to share activities and experiences. With friends I like to be aware of and be able to place that person in a a context (when I think of that person, I like to picture where they might be, what their surroundings are like, how they fit there or don't fit in their lives in general)- etc.

For me, feeling like someone would be a great friend, but never meeting them or talking with them would be like knowing I was in the room with a masterpiece, but not being able to find the lightswitch to illuminate it. Or having the speaker blow on my stero just when my favorite song was playing.

Do you find that you prefer two dimensional or three dimensional representations of shapes and/or objects more? In art, for instance, are you more drawn to paintings or sculpture? In literature, do you enjoy character sketches or outlines, or finely drawn and more nuanced characterizations?

Oh oh!!!

I see another Aidan in the making here! Have done for some time....

Really you know, men like me for instance view you women and I mean women of your and Aidans calibre, as rather special.

However, you have this tendency to need re-assuring from time to time, some of the time not being adequate, you want it most of the time! No I am wrong, you kind of demand it one way or another all of the time. Jenny is similar too I notice.

Basically, and I'm not taking any of your womanly charms away from you, you all possess obvious high sex appeal, but you might well have been more suited to life on this planet had you been born men!

Have I answered a lot of your problems with that statement?

It's good isn't it!

I think that is a statement and not a question. I think that sticking a "?" at the end of a statement the only purpose of which is to make a noise is a devious and underhanded trick and deserves to be castigated unto the uttermost ends of the earth.

Does anyone agree with me?

Nope.

(And, we don't all NEED reassurance...However we do all (men and women) appreciate compliments...That's the very nature of a compliment in the first place. Would you rather we tell you to f*ck off when you pay a compliment?)

Do you think it is important to treat service people (waiters/resses, salespeople, etc.) kindly? (And not just because you don't want them to spit in your soup.)

Yes, I think you should always show respect to service people, they do a good job as a rule (there are a few exceptions) and a kind word, manners and a thank you always gets more out of them than a high handed approach combined attitude.

Keep talking Jenny, I just love it when your so explicitly expletive.

Can you get those four letter words enrolled into a nice purr as well? Smile

I live in every era Princess.

You see real men are not like women they don't change like the wind.

Now you have been getting rather irate, confused, bad mannered and down right cheeky today on other topics, all related to your in-equality of course.

All in all you might have seen the various errors in and of your ways and succumbed to common sense, despite earlier howlings akin to a possessed demonic Rottweiler. These albeit rather pathetic somewhat ridiculous and unproductive functions of your female tendencies are not altogether allocated to you as an individual, most of your sex possess such characteristics.

The supplementary medicine firms make millions every week in professing to be able to cure such sadness, with various tablets, creams and potions! They don't work, so don't waste your pennies on them. Electric shock therapy has helped, but only for short term and is not reccomended as the side issues can be damaging to your appearance. You know walking around with vacant eyes and a silly grin on your face for the rest of your life.

Surgery appears beneficial but that is a choice you will have to make yourself.

It must be a bugger being a woman!

Yes, you are right the pills do help, but I will never get the hang of walking in high heels when smoking a pipe whilst applying a little lip gloss. Can you appreciate the difficulties?

Yes, I can.

What you want are some pills containing kykeon.

Quote:
In an attempt to solve the mystery of how so many people over the span of two millennia could have consistently experienced revelatory states during the culminating ceremony of the Eleusinian Mysteries, it has been posited that the barley used in the Eleusinian kykeon was parasitized by ergot, and that the psychoactive properties of that fungus triggered the intense experiences alluded to by the participants at Eleusis.

Are intense experiences up your alley?
