I appreciate orderliness and competence in terms of fixing things, around the house, car, garden, etc. I like personal cleanliness in a guy- but if a guy tends toward the metro-sexual side of the spectrum- I have to say that's not really my cup of tea.

I like nice clean hands, don't really like dirt under the nails, etc, but on the other hand, I don't go for men with manicures, you know that kind of thing.

Would you consider yourself a dandy (if male)/ primper (if female)
or alternatively

How do you like the music scene in Austin?

When I am working outside, I get filthy, I like that, then I shower and change, nails are short because I don't like dirt under them, I would say I was usually a very well dressed, clean of appearance and well groomed, but not a dandy, that would not fit me correctly.

Do you dress like Miss Jean Brodie?

I don't go overboard on the Austin music scene.

I think Bollywood is out of this world, and tops the lot!

No, I don't. As a matter of fact- someone I worked with told me that another woman I worked with was his idea of Miss Jean Brodie and I asked him if I reminded him of her, as I'd never seen the movie but someone had compared me to her and he just started laughing. He scoffed at that comparison. So I asked him who I did remind him of and he said he couldn't think of anyone that I remotely reminded him of.

Do you think that was a compliment or an insult?

Come on Aidan, I don't really know what you are like, but your good fun, when your not grumpy and high falooting your educational superiority.

You have a pretty face too!

Is it alright to say that?

(I read about you on your step-dad's thread- I always liked what I knew of Timber- I'm sorry for your loss).

Thanks, Aidan. I feel semi-famous by association around here. It was a rough couple of weeks, but I'm thinking I'm back to normal. I occasionally 'talk' to him, and I almost expect him to answer back one of these days... That'll mess me up for sure!

I've been a part of this music scene since summer of 1995. I've been in 7 bands, my latest is by far the most fun. We played 94 shows last year, and this year is shaping up to beat that.

As for the rest of the music scene, I like being able to go hear live music in just about any genre, any night of the week. There is a vibe here, and it's what convinced me to move to Austin.

By the way, I thought SPACE was what you have after the universe expanded into the (void?) ... doesn't matter, I can't even get to Europe let alone Europa.

Thanks for letting me in the middle of this thread, you two.

Smile T

Of course, that's very kind of you to say, thank you.

You look very distinguished yourself- although you still need to trim that beard.

Do you consider yourself to be an emotionally sensitive person?

No prob Timber, whenever you want mate!

I can be especially with some of the things I have seen happen to the poor and downtrodden on this planet.

Is that a failing?

Speaking of educational superiority- Timber- I don't know much about science, so don't go by my answer.

What's the name of your band. I have relatives in San Antonio that I haven't seen in ages, so when I get back to the US, I have a trip scheduled to Texas. I always go listen to music in Austin when I'm there- if I know the name of your band, I'll look one of your gigs up- it'll be this fall some time.

Mathos- Sensitive is always better than insensitive.

What's your favorite Dylan song? (for anyone)

Love Blind Willie McTell...

Who could pick just one- he really is an amazing songwriter.

Have you ever seen him live?

I don't believe so, I do not think the great powers will start a war, they will seek domination by the way of economic power.

Do you enjoy sports, and if so, which sports do you follow?
