Questions Game
Actually, I'd like to give two:
"When you want to fool the world, tell the truth." - Otto Van Bismarck
First I'd like to stress that I've always detested exaggeration, unless it has been done in humorous jest. Also, never in my entire life, have I ever told "stories" of myself or my experiences that weren't true. This is probably the reason I very seldom ever read fictional literature. I prefer real-life accounts.
But I've come to learn that even with sharing a truth, there are some who may perceive it as too fantastic or "too good to be true". Or, in hearing of a truth, they become confounded.
"The truth is more important than the facts." - Frank Lloyd Wright
This makes me think of the type who will select certain facts out of context of a situation, and in appealing to the known sensitivities of others, twist those facts to appear as they would have the situation to be.
Even though truth contains a wide array of facts, a few those facts can be hand-picked and re-connected to make a different picture.
A (loaded) question for the next player: Do you prefer the fictional or non-fictional?

Hmmmm. Let's say: What is your favorite quote and why?
<Request for devries: In the thread you said you would start, would you mind putting it in the Philosophy section and not Religion?>
