Yes, I like to be amused. But only in good company with nice and respectful people.
Which is obviously not the case with you.
Your stubbornness is infinite. You have not the power of the characters you identify with.
I let you counting your sperm and gave you the benefit of the victory.
However, that was not enough as if there was a bad after taste.
So you keep coming with snider remarks and using the same old hackneyed arguments.
That proved to be your twisted mind sub products as they are not conclusive of a pre existing reality.
The questions game thread existed before you came on it and were doing well.
I then tried to make you consider others positions which you refused with disguised insults.
That the sign of an irreconcilably shrivelled state of mind.
Come out of your cabinet and pubs to see how the world can be beautiful and friendly (sometimes!)…

Is it possible to debate without iniquity?

I'm sure it is, if people have friendly intent. I have a feeling spendius thinks that sweetness and light are boring, so he likes to disrupt. However, some of us get sweetness and light from these threads, and enjoy it.

Has any one got interesting projects lined up for the next few months?

Yeah-getting it straight about who disrupted a sweet conversation between CJ and myself. For the record I'll repeat that it was Pragmatic,Clary and Francis and it is all back there to be checked out on.
It seems I am not allowed to fight my corner without verbal abuse from the "sweeties".The posts concerned start with one from pragmatic on Aug 2.(post no1492304-page 353 of the thread).

I have read through all of it since then and I am quite confident of what a jury would say about them.Particularly on the subject of friendly intent.

The main thing, perhaps the only thing,is that Calamity Jane was intimidated to apologise for something she had absolutely no need to apologise for and has left the thread. When one of the participants in the debacle then comes on to complain about the thread drying up we have a situation which passes comprehension. Then on comes another with a string of personal insults which betray aspects of a personality I have no experience of.Perhaps it is a normal French thing.I don't know about that. All I know about modern France is what I read.

Anybody interested can read it all and decide for themselves.

As for me,I'm no longer a participant on this thread,or any other thread,in the company of the Frenchman.Which is nowhere near as extreme as the French not participating in Iraq or in NATO.

Do questions threaders not know that the French hate the Brits and the Yanks?

Speaking for myself, it's far from true. Actually I like a lot of them, Brits and Yanks. But bashing the French is an usual sport going on on another thread.

Who starts on a 'sane' subject?

So, is there anything to like about the French?

I mean, is there anything other than the cooking?

Il me faut au moins dix plats--veux-tu bien me montrer l'excéllence de ta cuisine?

I think there's many things to like about the French.
You know, sexy women, Pigalle, Côte d'Azur, cool living, baguettes, croissants, berets (indulging in some clichés).

- Le pot-au-feu
- Le steak-frites
- La tête de veau
- Les moules marinière
- Les harengs pomme à l'huile

or

- Le foie gras
- La coquille Saint -Jacques
- Le caviar
- Le saumon sauvage
- Le chapon de Bresse

Do you like some of those?

I wish my French was better. I only had a smattering in school. I'm told I'm about 1/4 French on my dad's side (- name was Cantile, no idea how it is pronounced in French but sounds just awful in English! It's apparently French.) I took Spanish for a couple of years, but it won't help me here. Let's see, Francis... I do like baguettes and croissants, I LOVE French wines and champagne! as well as foie gras... I'd love to experience France myself.

What would/could you tell someone who's never been (besides the obvious) what it's like?

Go to a French restaurant with a French chef and talk to him while eating! No experience matches France... you should take some classes in French, perhaps! Or just arrange to meet Francis...

Which country would you like to spend a year in, apart from your own?

Hmmm. Anywhere in Europe! Ideally, if I actually had a year, I'd spend it travelling to Britain, of course, to meet you (et. al) and see my cousin in Southampton, France, Netherlands (where my mom's family is from), Italy, ... That would be wonderful!

Clary, you're a world traveler, where is your favorite place to visit and why? (Same question to anyone else as well.)

Ah, it's always the next place! I am going in 2 days time to Turkey which is great, Syria which I've never been to, then France which I love, and then McTag and I are going to India which I used to love but now... not so sure! I like a place with a strong and different culture, friendly natives, and good scenery; nowadays I quite like the occasional creature comfort too. For indulgence, and when feeling rich, France or Italy or Spain. For good value and tropical beaches, Malaysia or Thailand.

When you retire, would you move house? And where to?

You know, sexy women [they need to bathe more often], Pigalle [i don't care for cities], Côte d'Azur [i'm with ya there], cool living [define "cool"], baguettes [an all-time favoite, and the little doggies love 'em, too--i can get their undivided attention just by taking out a baguette], croissants [too rich for me], berets (indulging in some clichés) [i never wear hats . . . or clichés].

- Le pot-au-feu [depends upon whose feu the pot is located on]
- Le steak-frites [oh yeah, love taters in any form]
- La tête de veau [ehh . . . s'ok, i'm not a big fan]
- Les moules marinière [oh yeah]
- Les harengs pomme à l'huile [double oh yeah]

or

- Le foie gras [s'ok, not a big fan]
- La coquille Saint -Jacques [triple oh yeah]
- Le caviar [you can have my share]
- Le saumon sauvage [quadruple oh yeah]
- Le chapon de Bresse [no thanks]

Do you like some of those?

Never mind what she means Spendius, jumping in like the clown you continue to be, omitting to leave a question.
There is little in any point whatsoever in your 'arm wrestling' with these sweet playthings and breeding assets, none what-so-ever .

Are you little darlings happy with that?

Stick a "doesn't she?" on the end, which is implied.

Isn't it?
