It looks like that nothing is going to run smoothly today -

For you it is, I'm sure. You know that women have
this genetic defect of being utterly nosy.
Have to bring little Jane to a new camp now and myself
to the office....see you in a while.
So, how did you like the Beatles?

I wouldn't go that far but I might have considered hanging them in the sun until they toughened up.
Why are sentimentalists so popular?

Why? They give us an excape from the daily rat race,
that's why.
What was your very first vehicle of transportation?

Mama's jahanga.
I would have thought that phoney sentimentalists rub noses in the rat race if they can get away with it which they can't with me.
Don't you prefer bare-knuckle truth?

It is a very rare word which isn't even in the Shorter Oxford. It must be Arabic.Maybe Francis knows it.It refers to that part of the body of a female of child bearing age in which the action takes place.I was only travelling in one for 8 months.
I don't remember where I picked it up.
Women are programmed to be nosy in order that they know as much about the environment as possible in order to better protect offspring.

I don't know what it was.We used to drive it around the fields because we were too young to go on the roads.I siphoned petrol out of my father's tank to run it.It had bench seats.Does that date it?
Gee-I'm glad I'm not a kid now.All this parental care would send me up the wall.
Were you free as a kid?

You must be very young then JAAF. What I did? I'm still
in the office - it's only 11 am here at the west coast.
spendius, yes I was very free - carefree so to speak.
I always will think very fondly of my childhood.

One is always too restricted.Probably a good thing.
Co-operation does involve some sacrifices but they are worth it in the main. Some people are hopeless.
We were talking about the cricket last night (we lost the first Test Match-4 to go) and it came to me.Cricket simply has a civilising influence even though it is played hard. When Don Bradman went out to bat in his last match in England, and he had been a severe thorn in our flesh for years,he was applauded so much he had tears in his eyes and was out for a duck (no score). He was applauded all the way back to the pavillion as well.Grown Englishmen, who had been in the trenches, had lumps in their throat.I didn't see it of course because I was too young but my great, great, great grandfather told me about it.We gave him a knighthood.
See what I mean?

I'm sure it was your father and not "great, great <exaggerate> grandfather.
Other than that, I see that only the Brits and the Aussies
really play cricket.
Why is that?

Hang on.
There's England which is where the game evolved, and that's a long story, and where the headquarters of international cricket is based. At Lord's.There's Australia, who are currently top rated.New Zealand.India.Pakistan.Bangladesh,Zimbabwe,South Africa and West Indies.Canada and Holland are junior members.
Most of the politicians of these countries are cricket fans except that Mugable donkdo.
It's an international,English speaking, conspiracy to civilise all the rest.

Ah yes, all the english colonies. Of course, how could I
forget. I don't know why the US stood to one side - I'm
not into sports or cricket or rugby for that matter.
Wheras rugby is the true game, and football the
padded version, right?
