Surely the impression you get from my posts when they are incorrect impressions are very complicated events.

Life does not "need" to be complicated. It is complicated. To our understanding I mean.Just doing any old acronym is quite a complicated thing.

Do you not know how complicated any thought is?

Perhaps my thoughts are quite simple, I don't see
the complication of it. I also try to lead a simple life and
lifestyle. There are complications I cannot control and
need to deal with, but the ones I can control, I tend
to simplify, as I simply don't have the time to complicate
my life unnecessary.

Another Woody Allen?

Not at all. He's an ugly little runt which I'm sure you are not.
There is a connection between a sense of inferiority, justified or not,and development of a minor talent into a major one by diligence. It is probably an attempt to attract the attention of the opposite sex when the usual physical requirements are missing or perceived to be missing. On the bottom line.I sometimes call it "rate-busting" which is an American (NE) expression.

Do you know what it means?

I don't know where the box with your quote came from.I didn't do it.I have a piece of paper somewhere on this desk with instructions how to do it but I haven't seen it in ages and I've forgotten what it says.

Apology accepted then?

Of course, it is accepted. You just quoted my statement,
nothing more.

Interesting thought about compensating for inferiority
in that manner. Yes, I know the term "rate-busting" -
trying to outdo the competition by being overzealous.
Yet, as we know now, it works only with the very weak
and the very young.

What makes your life so complicated?

It isn't-that's the point.I just find the complicatedness I see all around me interesting and often amusing. It is the only thing I find interesting. It must be innate curiosity I suppose.

Possibly ladies don't have that for sensible reasons but they should remember that male curiosity brought them the luxuries they hourly take for granted. There's no disputing that.

Could a lady be interested in exploiting male curiosity?

Let me get this straight: male curiosity brought us women
the luxuries we take for granted? What do you mean by that? Why should women exploit male curiosity?

I'm afraid you have a very chauvinistic outlook here,
or do I just misunderstand your reasoning?

Probably.

You can't deny male curiosity and the science it led to.Us special males I mean. And you said you wanted to keep it simple so I thought it might be the case that ladies had little curiosity. It was a compliment actually.I didn't make or suggest any value judgement on the lack of curiosity ladies might have.I even inserted the phrase "sensible reasons" to clarify that.
Now a large number,an increasing number,of ladies in our societies live an exceedingly luxurious lifestyle and if you look into the systems that bring this forth, not by magic, you will find science, male curiosity in action,in almost every item dedicated to that luxuriousness.
And if ladies have no curiosity then how do they get these luxuries without exploiting those who have.

I think the idea that most of the items dedicated to the luxury of ladies are taken for granted as to be too trite to be worth mentioning.

Why would you think the facts constituted a "chauvinist Outlook"?

I'm not worried about it (male chauvinism) tonight - unless some male shows up on this game and acts really chauvinistic.

Do you consider yourself to be intolerant of either gender?

No, not really. It's more the ignorant and don't know it types that I find 'intolerable'.

Do you?

One might as well find the sky intolerable.

How much is a pint of bitter where you live?

Hmmm. $2.50, $3.00? I suppose it depends on where you go. Not a beer drinker myself, more of a "whino"

What about there ?- and beware I don't know the dollars to pounds ratio!

Good day for you, fly? I finally caught up on some much-needed sleep. I call it a 'scrub' day, because I get next to nothing done. Hope to turn in early and nip the insomnia bug in the bud!

Good day for you?

Sorry to back track on this, but I cannot leave that standing like it is.
spendius, I won't deny that the science field was predominately filled
with men some odd 30 years ago, but for the simple reason, that women
did not have the opportunities then as they have now. To insinuate
that women who live a luxurious lifestyle have done so only due to the sole benefit of men, is utter rubbish.

I don't know about your surroundings, but where I come from, women
have worked quite hard to achieve what you perceive a luxurious lifestyle. In fact, they had to work twice as hard as their male counterparts in order to get the recognition they deserved. This, by all means, has nothing to do with curiosity, it has everything to do with
hard work, with dedication, education and - of course - some luck.

Thropy wives are a thing of wherever you got stuck in time.
So there you have it!

Yes devriesj, it was a very good day so far, and hopefully the
evening progresses in the same manner.

How about you all?

I have none.I think they are all stupid.Fancy wasting your life in a golf tunnel. They are good to watch though sometimes.I love it when they miss a 12" putt or take 3 in a bunker. The best laugh this week was Nicklaus shedding a tear at the moving reception he got from his adoration claque.
Sport is pure existentialism at the top level.Another ongoing laugh is the sentimental anthrpomorphism in the horse racing commentary teams.

But don't they all take themselves so seriously?
