No, but I know one lives here in my town -- and he's a lawyer. Shocked

What did you eat for dinner?

Tico, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe (popular choice by children)
http://www.borge.diesal.de/schiel.gif, but
fortunately they also have decent meals for adults too.

Good night ollady, or as we say "Gute Nacht"!

Everyone asleep?

I usually go between 10:30 and 11 pm to bed - no night
owl here. Wink

Yes, I'm home already. One of my little visitors has
to fly home tomorrow - he's been with us for 2 weeks and
has to go back to Germany. So off to bed they went
early. And I can relax now.!

Tico, what are you doing with little Tico for the summer?

The little Ticos and I have been going on frequent bike rides. The oldest is able to ride by himself (no training wheels), and the youngest sits behind me.

What about you now that surf camp is over?

Our local high school offers weekly summer camp activities,
and they have a huge pool at their disposal. Little Jane
loves any water activities, and she wants to go there.

Oh, ollady has changed her avatar picture. Now she's
no ollady any longer - nice photo!!

Didn't you have your photo as avatar for a split second Tico?

No. Someone had googled and found that image and thought it was me ... so I thought I'd humor him for a bit. I actually do look somewhat similar to my avatar (My hair's not that dark, though. And usually not that short. Oh, and no bodybuilding championships in my past. Laughing ).

Did you know, CJ, that I joined A2K one week after you did, and now 9 months later you and I are currently No's 56 & 57 respectively on total posts here at A2K, and you have posted roughly 20 more posts than I?

So, you could double for Arnie in case he's incapacitated?
Cool!!! Mr. Green

No, I did not pay attention to the posting rank, but I knew
that we came around the same time. So that's why you're
posting away here, to push me off my 56th seat.
I guess we both will hit the 6000 mark within the next
2 days.

Shall we tackle gustav next?

I say yes. It was actually his "Hey! I have entered the realm of the top fifty!" thread that caused me to look at the membership list.

Do you swim in the ocean much?

I just looked, gustav is no. 46 - so we'll bypass him by
next month.

No, I don't go in much - too cold for my taste. I like
being close to the ocean though and could sit there for
hours watching the surfers and being lulled in by the sound
of the waves.

Have you gone on vacation yet?

I don't think I've been on a vacation for 2 years. My family is heading to Utah for a reunion later this month, but I'm not going to be able to get away. When I go, I usually go to Colorado. Love the mountains!

Colorado is beautiful, reminds me of Switzerland.

No, San Diego has summer temperatures from 74 to 80 F,
no humidity and always a slight breeze. That's the
coastal weather though - inland it sometimes gets up
to 86 F. We're really in paradise out here....

Have you been to California?

A couple of times. Had relatives that lived in LA. Sounds wonderful. We get above 100, and have lots of humidity. But we also get snow, and I love the fall. As kids, my cousins used to love to come here in the winter in hopes of seeing snow.

Have you been to Kansas?

I'm not Dorothy - no I haven't been to Kansas.
Lived in NYC though and the heat and high humidity were
just immobilizing there. My last winter in NYC was quite
a challenge too - one blizzard after the other. I don't
miss the heat/humidity nor the snow.

I gather, you ski then?

(I'm getting awfully tired and will say good night Tico)

Yes, I love to ski. I actually lived in Colorado for a few years going to school. Didn't figure you had been to Kansas. It's not normally a destination spot. I'm going to get to bed as well ... it's much later here.
