No I can't say I did. your avatar depicts you as a middle-aged guy, so I would have guessed you had only 1 or 2 kids...then again that was just a flying far off guess.

How many girls? How many boys?

I'm taking my son to the Law Uni in Paris, pragmatic for his 3rd year. Do you think I should make Francis his guardian??

Oh wow, your son does law too? Which university? I hear the sorbonne is like the French Cambridge or Oxford...as for Francis being his guardian - I'm sure he'll make a fine guardian - and I think you can trust him, you two seem to get along very well!!

Which uni does your son currently attend Clary?

Pragmatic, sorry, I had to give him breakfast! He is at University College London, has just got a 2.1 in his 2nd year exams.

(if pragmatic is still there) Which uni are you at?
(if not) which uni would be the most fun to be at?

hi clary! I'm still here. University college at London U - oh, wow I'm so impressed and envious. I would love to be at London (or cambridge - but that's VERY wishful thinking.) 2.1...is that a second class honours? I'm sorry, not familiar with the marking systems there.

As for me, I am attending a queensland university...I'd rather not say the name of it for now, but its one of the three popular ones of Queensland.

So why is your son going to Paris?

He's doing a degree called 'Law with French Law' so he has a year at the specialised Law uni in Paris - looking forward a lot! 2.1 is a 'good' second, just below a first so he's pretty happy with that.

Law seems to be a fascinating subject, would you agree?

absolutely - that's why I chose to do it. My other possible alternative was Town Planning (I know, completely different from each other) but I knew that law was really the path to go for me and so I thought yeah, go for it.

C.I tells me you are a published writer. What areas? You seem so educated.

Oh, only in English language teaching - anyone could do it Smile
And a guidebook to Hong Kong which came out this year. Nothing very creative, I'm afraid.

Which year of uni are you in?

<so modest! I couldn't write a thing about HK and I'm from there!>

third year. I was supposed to graduate at the end of 2006 but I decided to take on a few more subjects that my uni didn't offer but another university did - I'm interested in EU law as well as private international law - so I have to give myself another 6 months to finish of those subjects as well. Then its off to find a job (hopefully in Europe) and a holiday (again in Europe!)

How many children do you have?

3 sons - the Law one is the youngest, 21. Doesn't really need a Paris guardian!
The HK guidebook had to be written by someone who'd lived there quite a while but wasn't from there, to get an outsider's viewpoint. It was easier to write than I'd thought, and I bet you could write something like that. Once you start, things flow because you know the subject so well.

A great idea to do EU law as well! Which EU country would you like to live in most?

Ohhh, that is a hard question, because I love the place overall so much and there are so many options!! The UK I have always loved as the main European country, but France and Germany I adore (France because it is so debonair and Germany because I love the look of heidleberg and people who have gone there tell me its great.) Switzerland because its so cold and I have never seen snow and Denmark is now also an option (ever since the australian mary donaldson married their crown prince Frederick.) Belgium I would love to see after looking at the photos.

I feel very unknowing as I am claiming to love these places by photo alone, but I can't help it. I'm that kind of person - almost a romantic when it comes to Europe.

So how many places have you lived in?

Countries? England, France, India, HK. I'm thinking of Australia, Queensland in fact - I have a cousin in Mackay and loved the sea, warmth, openness of place and people there. At your age I hadn't done much though, you have a lot more opportunities ahead!

What is your favourite leisure activity?

If you do I would try my best to say hi to you in person!! Very Happy

as for leisure activity, I think just sitting in bed with a pack of chips, reading a novel and listening to music (The UK band Lighthouse Family is my favourite) would be the most relaxing form of activity for me. But I get fat... Embarrassed

Uh...if you don't mind my asking, how old are you? You look young in the avatar.

The light must have been in my favour! I'm 58. Francis recognised me when we met in London so I suppose I do look like that, but trust me, in a strong light I have loads of age-markers!

How old are you?

I still had a question for you, but it slipped my mind, hm.....

Do you have a good memory?
