Interesting aiden, are these ordinary bananas or the
cooking kind (the little red ones)? I cook the red ones
with Mango, Oranges and some juice, along with Amond
slices and a shot of Amaretto for dessert.
Have you looked into the food section of a2k?
I don't know CJ - I've never done it myself - so I don't know what kind of bananas. Actually roasting/grilling bananas never would have occurred to me - but the way he described it, it sounded delicious. I have on occasion looked at the food section-but not lately.
Do you enjoy cooking?
No.
I can't figure out what the big deal is.It's only nutrient after all.Eating is like other biological activities and it's best to get it over with as quickly as possible.I wish I didn't have to eat. It's about the same aesthetically as filling the car up with juice.
What do you see in it?
Who asked about eating? I asked about cooking. It's a creative outlet for me and it's very satisfying to be able to offer something to those you love knowing they'll enjoy it.
What is one of your creative outlets? (non-sexual, please).
Laughing at absurdities.
What's up with eating a banana straight out of the skin?
well, that's always good too - or with peanut butter.
What's your favorite kind of sandwich?
Smoked salmon and aioli with some salad in a ciabatta, probably. Or Brixham crab and lettuce.
What are you cooking for dinner today?
Nobody has fancied that for two hours.
Is there a lesson there?
I suppose it's just a time thing, Spendi-. Not sure what's for dinner today. BBQ chicken sounds good...
(BTW, aidan, if you're out there, thanks for the 'history lesson' on Guy Fawkes Day back there.)
Are you planning anything fun, interesting or different to do today?
Mrs Trumpington said she would do a dumpling crumble with all the trimmings.I might try that.
Do you think I should?
Of course, why not!
What's a dumpling crumble anyways?
It is a literary allusion of mindless ineptitude designed to titillate the jaded has-beens who frequent these low corners of intellectual life.
Do you think it will work?
If you are a jaded has-been, then yes.
Are you?
I hadn't thought of myself as such, but probably so, since my career is over. On second thoughts, I am not at all jaded.
Do you like jade?
Yes, very much so. I'd like to have a jade pendant.
How about perls?
To a certain extent Madam I have to confess to finding most of life's so called pleasures somewhat threadbare. This has not always been the case however.I have experienced the simply joys in my days of youth and naivety and have been fortunate enough, possibly from cunning and possibly from luck,to have escaped relatively unscathed, often at the very last moment,as the jaws of the traps were closing around me.Many,oh so many,of my dearest companions have become so firmly enmeshed in the barbed teeth as to claim that they enjoy mowing lawns, cleaning out gutters, putting up new curtains and sundry other activities of a similar nature. These men were once promising young bloods with the world at their feet but to see them now bowed low with naggings and hardly a moment to call their own almost brings a lump to my throat.
Do you think I have taken a wrong turning somewhere?
No, it is your desire that you have followed.
But how about pearls, do you like the look of them?
Yes - you should definitely be up on that ladder cleaning out gutters.
CJ - I love pearls- and onyx. In fact I named my dog Pearl because she is as pretty as a....pearl.
What is your pet's name - and if you don't have one what might you name it if you did happen to get one?
The operative word would be "enjoy" here spendius.
Even simple tasks as mowing the lawn can be pleasurable
(don't look at me though), if it is your own pride and joy.
The key is, to have enough money to pay someone else
for these chores and emphasis on the things that were
once promising to you. Ultimately one has to be content
with one's own life, regardless of how it is lived.
Right?
No, ultimately one has to take responsibility for one's own life, and live it as one deems right.
Have you had lunch yet, cj?
