@neologist,
You want me to exercise the imagination. God wants me to get rid of the imagination. Maybe that's your problem you don't obey God.

2 Cor 10:4-5
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
(KJV)

@Squeakybro,
And you are? You've already said you don't consider an imagination to be a useful attribute.

We'd all still be living in trees if the rest of us we're like you.

Yet, you have decried, on this very page, the use of your own "imagination" to answer a legitimate question.

Does the word 'hypocrite' mean anything to you?

@izzythepush,
That might not be a bad thing. If the rest were like me there would be no more killing, no more lieing, no more stealing, no more pride. We would all be helping one another. That paints a lot better picture than we have now.

Explain how your christianity is better than the christians who slaughtered each other, with clergy support, in Rwanda. You can't even explain how your gospel might comfort a grieving neighbor.

@Squeakybro,
The collapse of civilisation is just a few meals away, that's what it would be, pandemonium. Lots of lying, stealing, killing and gnashing, not a great deal to be proud about though, so I'll give you that.

I've been asking you what you might say to a friend or neighbor who may have experienced a personal tragedy. The holy spirit should help you find the words. I am not asking for your words. I am asking how you would start. If you are "in the meat", as you call it, you should have sufficient matturiy to give an answer.

@neologist,
I am really asking myself, how they function in daily life.
When they go to their workplace at the assembly line, how do they
cope all day long with the pitfalls of life? They cannot recite the
holy spirit and the bible nonstop. Their coworkers will postmark them
as lunatics for sure.

I hope neither one has children as these poor innocent kids would be
brainwashed into the same way of thinking which in my book is almost
child abuse.

Folks think we JWs are on the lunatic fringe.
That may be true. But I at least understand my neighbors.

@neologist,
I don't think you understand where the meat understanding takes one. I don't have friends as you would think. I have one friend and He is enough for me. I know lots of people. I don't visit people I have no need to.

John 15:14
14 "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
(NKJ)

2 Cor 6:17-18
17 Therefore "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you."
18 "I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."
(NKJ)
