Does he like me?!?!??!

so there is this guy and I'm getting mixed signals from him. Whenever I catch him staring at me he pretends to be daydreaming and he keeps looking even after I catch him. He teaches me basketball and he's nice to me:one time someone called me a loser and he went up to them and called them f-ing duchbacks. But we barely ever talk and he won't follow me back on instagram, but the only girls he follows are my best friends. I was thinking that maybe he doesn't want me to know that he likes me but he still wants to see pictures of me without following me? The few times that I've talked to him he like gives me his full attention and looks at me right in the eyes. At the school dance, like almost every time I turned around he was there... Do you think he likes me? I'm 14 btw
