Clinton Email Probe Finds No Deliberate Mishandling Of Classified Information
Thirty-eight people violated security protocols around non-classified emails, the probe found.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) ― A U.S. State Department investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state has found no evidence of deliberate mishandling of classified information by department employees.

The investigation, the results of which were released on Friday by Republican U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley’s office, centered on whether Clinton, who served as the top U.S. diplomat from 2009 to 2013, jeopardized classified information by using a private email server rather than a government one.

Clinton turned over roughly 33,000 emails from her private server in 2014, and the State Department probe found “no persuasive evidence of systemic, deliberate mishandling of classified information.”

The investigation did find that Clinton’s use of a private server increased the risk of hacking.

The controversy figured prominently in the 2016 presidential election, which Democrat Clinton lost to Republican President Donald Trump, who suggested during the campaign that Clinton was trying to hide something by using a private network.

Then–FBI Director James Comey announced five months before the November 2016 election that no charges would be filed against Clinton, but he found her actions “extremely careless.”

The FBI reopened the probe just days before the election after some of her emails were found on a laptop belonging to the husband of a close aide. Clinton has said the decision to reopen the probe badly damaged her campaign.

The State Department investigation found that 38 current or former employees were responsible for 91 separate violations of security protocols involving Clinton’s server. Those 38 people were not identified. None of the emails at issue were marked as classified, according to the investigation.

The State Department found an additional 497 violations for which no individual was found responsible.

“While there were some instances of classified information being inappropriately introduced into an unclassified system in furtherance of expedience, by and large, the individuals interviewed were aware of security policies and did their best to implement them in their operations,” the report said.

Comment:
There, now maybe the Republicans will SUFU.

Trump knows all too well how to try and hide crime with his private server.

Lock him up.

She is in the end stages of TDS. I heard they threw Killary out of Costco. She kept accusing the sample lady of being a Russian agent.

@coldjoint,
He has spent two and a half years in office intentionally refusing to do anything the majority of the country want him to do. That pretty much makes him your president, not our president, no matter what the EC foisted on us.

You do know Abe's definition of democracy don't you? Of the people, by the people, for the people. He's violating the important two of the three clauses.

@coldjoint,
Hey, betraying our allies in the fight against ISIS, the Kurds, and allowing them to be slaughtered by the Turks and pushed out of their lands is both immoral and unprincipled. And that's just in the last week.

@Region Philbis,
If they were running a real inquiry instead of a secret backdoor meeting, then they might have a point. Why haven't they had a vote to actually hold a real inquiry? Pelosi is afraid they don't have the votes, that's why. The Dems would never accept this if the GOP were holding such an "inquiry" behind closed doors in secret.

It always makes me laugh when I see leftists screaming about someone they didn't vote for not doing what they want them to. In reality the person who won the vote should be doing what they were elected to do. In this case Trump isn't going to do anything the left want him to do, they didn't vote for him. He's going to do what the right elected him to do.

Obama wasn't going to do anything the right asked him to do, his leftist supporters would have thrown a hissy fit.

@Baldimo,
And you guys spent 8 years sabotaging everything obama tried to do for the manoritybwho elected him twice and for the good of the country (obamacare, saving the economy e.g.)
Why then would you expect the majority who did not elect our most corrupt president ever to do anything else but oppose him and want him out. Its what you did with obama but far more deserving.

Sabotaging? You mean you want everything done with a rubber stamp if the President want's it? Sorry, our govt has never worked that way. Obama would try maybe 1 time to get something passed and then give up and sign an EA/EO, on some things he never even tried to pass it through Congress, DACA?

You have a loose meaning of majority and what they want done. The majority were not in favor of gay marriage and most states including CA voted against it. Was the majority correct?

The ACA did nothing but raise the cost for the majority and be honest, the state exchanges failed for most states. There were a couple of good things that came out of the ACA but cheaper costs were not one of them.

Saving the economy is a stretch, the only thing he didn't do was make it worse. We had the slowest recovery in US history and it was limping along at the end of Obama's 8 years.

The majority of states elected Trump, that's how the EC works.

Your claims of what took place against Obama are weak. Obama had normal opposition against him from the opposition party, in his defense, he had the entire news media, except for one, on his side to defend his scandals and lighten their impact. Obama didn't have the FBI and CIA opening bogus investigations into him either, Trump did. Don't worry, the scam is going to be exposed soon, within weeks from the sound of it.

And support for it now runs in the high60s las i.looked. the gop blocked everything he did even stuff the vast majority of people wanted like daca and backgound checks and no govt shutdowns. He recognized hed have to go abot it differently to get things done so he did and the vountry backed him
Trump is using eos to do things the country doesnt want. Thats why his approval is never near even 50 percent. Weve also repeatedly pointed out you misreprrsent the success of o's ecomy. The gop fucked it up andleft it teetering on the brink of depression. Remember the queasy feeling inthe country in 2008. Obama pulled us our and up for sic
