Lindsey Graham Just Totally Flip-Flopped on His Threat to Unleash ‘Holy Hell’ on Trump.

Posted on August 24, 2018

Quote:
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is suddenly fine with President Donald Trump firing Attorney General Jeff Sessions after threatening to unleash “holy hell” if he was fired.

On Thursday, Graham said that Trump is likely to fire Sessions eventually and he appears fine with it.

“The president is entitled to an attorney general he has faith in,” Graham said. “And I think there will come a time sooner rather than later where it will be time to have a new face and a fresh voice at the Department of Justice.”

Just last year, however, Graham threatened to block confirmation hearings for Sessions’ replacement and vowed “holy hell” if Trump fired him.

“I’m 100 percent behind Jeff Sessions,” Graham told CNN in July of last year. “There will be no confirmation hearing for a new attorney general in 2017. If Jeff Sessions is fired, there will be holy hell to pay.”

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), the second top Republican in the Senate, said he still believes it would be a bad idea for Trump to fire Sessions.

“I think it would be bad for the country, it would be bad for the president, it would be bad for the Department of Justice for [Sessions] to be forced out under these circumstances,” he said.

@revelette1,

Indeed he's not. I remember seeing a Fox segment on him last year when he first started getting into trouble. The Fox reporter kept referring to him affetionately as "Sheriff Joe" throughout the report. The reporter was so bad during the "news story" that I wondered if he asked Arpaio for his autograph afterward. It sure sounded like it.

Trump's political opponents committed violence at every Trump campaign rally, whereas Trump supporters never committed acts of violence at Clinton or Sanders campaign rallies. Trump's opponents rampaged down streets breaking things on inauguration day, and made death threats against electors for Trump if they voted for Trump. Violent riots break out when a conservative wants to speak at a university, e.g. Ben Shapiro or Milo Yiannopoulos, whereas the most liberal speaker in the world could speak at the most conservative university without a single body guard. Now you suggest that you will commit acts of violence if the Supreme Court defies you:

"The front steps of the justice building could look like downtown Cairo during Egyptian revolution of 2011 with the snap of a finger if any of these justices step out of line of the people's will."

I think we know which side most of the violence comes from.

@Brandon9000,
You provide a quote with no attribution so we can only assume that was you who said that, Brandon. That's what comes from being a member of Nazi groups like Stormfront.

And lest you forget, death and destruction is how the war mongering nation USA was formed.

Trump Says No to San Fran LEGALIZING Drug Use—in Middle of Opioid Crisis

Quote:

Like a parent telling a child not to put their hand on a hot stove, President Trump is telling the childish leaders of San Fran that legalizing drug use—in the middle of an opioid crisis—is really dumb and illegal. You would think these high IQ political hacks would know that heroin and cocaine is bad for the community and the individual. Instead of ending the use of drugs, they want Sacramento to make it easier for young people to kill themselves. Maybe they can call drug over dosed deaths “pot-birth abortions”.

“Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said in an op-ed piece in The New York Times that “cities and counties should expect the Department of Justice to meet the opening of any injection site with swift and aggressive action” and warned that maintaining “any location for the purpose of facilitating illicit drug use” could lead to criminal prosecutions and up to 20 years in prison, hefty fines and property seizure.

This state is seriously stuck on stupid. And full of poo.

@coldjoint,
What a ludicrous statement you made, coldjoint. You are all over the crazy map.

Stormfront is for right wing Nazis like Trump and his gang of followers.

Stormfront is a Holocaust denying, white nationalist, white supremacist, antisemitic neo-Nazi Internet forum, and the Web's first major racial hate site. - Wikipedia

Sadly for you and Trump and the gang, it has been shut down.

Baloney.

Each one of these videos shows Trump protestors being beaten at his rallies.

And some more violence by Trump supporters:

Trump supporters are the ones who started the violence, then they act like victims.

@camlok,
Can you name a country that has never started a war?

America is a super power, of course the country will be involved in war. Some just, some unjust just like any other country but on a larger scale.

If we did not have wars we would be simply defeated by them.

Part of war is self preservation and part of it is the work of evil people.

This is no different than any other country. Most of America's wars have been just and we have paid a high price for them.

It is the human condition. Your favoritism speaks more of the evil side rather than the just side. Political favoritism... You are no better than the rest Camlok.

You are all criticism and no solutions.

@Blickers,
You want to talk about 2 or 3 people who where punched while disrupting a rally but ignore the full out riots that took place in major cities?

A court has given Trump rally attendies the right to sue the city of San Jose for not protecting them:

@Baldimo,
The people being punched by a MULTITUDE of people at the Trump rallies-you try to make it sound like only one Trump person punched them-came first. And notice how Trump was heard encouraging his supporters to beat them. He even offered to pay the legal bills of of the people punching them, (considering Trump's history of stiffing people, they better not count on it).

It's like that black church in Charlottesville where a group of counterdemonstrators met and was surrounded by neo-Nazi goons. Only the presence of antifa kept them from going into the church and committing violence. After which the righties cried a river about antifa, when it was antifa who kept the peaceful counter demonstrators unharmed.

That's the Right for you-start all the trouble then play victim.

So? The vets who work for the Federal government are still getting hosed by Trump. What are they supposed to do, fall down on their knees and give thanks that he didn't screw them even worse?
