The 2010 election shows we can't rely on President popularity for elections. Based on that, Obama and the DNC never should have been beaten in those mid-terms and the GOP would have less seats than they do now, but as history showed, that wasn't the case. Obama was very popular and campaigned his ass off for the DNC, they still took the worst mid-term loss in history.

That’s what happens when the opposition lies and lies and lies and try’s to destroy a piece of legislation that they proceeded to campaign on repealing for 6 years, and then couldn’t come to any agreement after so much legslivative brain-power and after the public turned on them and actually finally realized that they support that piece of legislation.
