@TheCobbler,
Cobbler, Your words proving that you are tragically misled. It looks like you asuming you can't be religious and Republican at the same time. That is far from the truth. Obviously you are blind to the fact that you are living in the free society where people have freedom of religion, and expression unlike your dreamland Cuba. No one asking you to be religious just because you are conservative. Your reasoning behind changing party affiliation is foggy at best and shows complete luck of understanding or misunderstanding of each partys bassic principals and beliefs. Well, let me lay it out for you.
Republicans:
Small limited government with power shifted to the people rather than government officials. Free enterprise, equall opportunity for all. Limited government control. Constitution with ALL its amendments shell be the highest governmental guideline.
Democrats:
Big government controlling and regulating every aspect of human life.
A redistribution of wealth taking from rich and give to the poor. High taxes and regulations. Limited freedom: Taking away guns. Creation of governmental rulling class controlling of doing business (as you called controlled capitalism).
Rationing healthcare and education. Punishing success and rewarding failure.
And this are precisely your believes.
