Well, I can't figure out what "special announcement" was supposed to be in that "stunning op-ed". It was the exact same speech Bernie's been making since the convention.

Snood, we have our finger on the pulse concerning these announcements but many people are hearing this for the first time. They are just to busy in their lives to pay attention to politics. This announcement is for those who have fallen through that cracks and are oblivious to the politics and the changes that are happening around them. There probably are people who don't even know who Bernie Sanders is, they can perhaps disregard this message, the stakes are too high to assume everyone is in the loop. It is always refreshing to hear Bernie reiterate his goals considering the positive influence he has had on the democratic party and our progressive platform. Getting our people into the supreme court appointments is the most vital issue at hand. We cannot make the assumptions that this election is already ours. It is stunning if you are hearing it for the first time.

She has a right to her beliefs but not to break the law. I don't understand why if she feels that strongly, she doesn't resign from her position which conflict with her faith. What is next, a bar tender refusing to serve openly gays in a bar? The bar tender should get another job, the same with Kim Davis.

Gavin Newsom annoyed me some time in the last few days; not sure I saved a link. Trump, scary ****, the possibility he could win, because the Trump folks appear to not care about his lies or taxes or (many other problems).

Trump can win, it's not impossible. 5 points isn't much of a lead at this stage. About the only thing I'm optimistic about is the fact that alarm about immigration was a big big deal early in the campaign for the last four presidential elections, then faded as Election Day drew near. As more and more people start paying attention to the race after Labor Day, immigration fades as something people are upset about. Trump's whole campaign is about immigration, so I'm optimistic he's going to slowly fall back as people lose interest in that topic, as they do in every election.

I agree with you. I like your hypothetical example. Here's another hypothetical example. What if a bartender, because of his religious belief, was against serving anyone alcohol. If the bartender refuse to serve alcohol because of his belief, he should seek other employment.
