Actor Wendel Pierce Arrested for Hitting Bernie Sanders Supporter
Source: NY Post citing TMZ

Hillary Clinton-loving actor got into a violent political argument with a female Bernie Sanders supporter — and allegedly wound up hitting the woman in the head outside an Atlanta hotel, according to a report.

Wendell Pierce, who starred in the crime drama “The Wire,” was arrested on battery charges Saturday for assaulting the woman at the Loews Hotel, TMZ reported.

The 52-year-old TV performer, a big Clinton fan, flew into his rage at 3:30 a.m., while discussing the 2016 presidential race with the victim and her boyfriend, the site said.

@bobsal u1553115,
I went to the source to get the CC, he did not say his judgment was more important than the judgement of Minn. That is a characterization of his words you and obviously the one putting out the video have made, not a direct quote.

He said (I can't do a direct quote) that voters elected him to exercise his judgment and his judgement is Hillary Clinton is the best candidate. He is correct. It is not a rule super delegates have to go with the winner of their state's primary. In fact that is not why super delegates were created. They were created to lead not follow.

Quote:
How did the superdelegate system come about?

After the 1968 election, the Democrats began using the system of primaries and caucuses to choose pledged delegates to the national convention. But in 1972 and 1976, the party ended up with lesser-known nominees who didn't perform as well on the national stage (former Sen. George McGovern, who lost the election to former President Nixon, and former President Jimmy Carter, who was only elected for one term).

Elders in the Democratic Party saw "a need for there to be a voice for the establishment within the party to not necessarily overturn the will of the voters, but to nudge along a nominee who would be well equipped to win during the general election -- to avoid nominees like George McGovern and Jimmy Carter," Putnam said.

Things came to a head during the 1980 presidential campaign, when Sen. Ted Kennedy challenged Carter for the nomination, a fight that went all the way to the floor of the convention. In 1982, a group of party leaders created the Hunt Commission to reform the nomination process.

Thus, the superdelegate system was born.

Clinton Supporters Attack Jane Sanders For Her Appearance

April 12, 2016 by Richard Zombeck 32 Comments

Hillary Clinton supporters take to Twitter to insult Jane Sanders for her weight, clothes, and hair.

http://samuel-warde.com/2016/04/clinton-supporters-attack-jane-sanders-weight-clothes/

Jane Sanders was trending on Twitter the other day. In fact, she was trending so much that she nearly surpassed Bill Clinton as a trending topic following his unfortunate rant about Black Lives Matter at an event in Philadelphia.

What did Jane Sanders do to merit the attention of Hillary Clinton supporters who came out in droves to insult her? Apparently the Clinton crowd doesn’t like the way she dresses, what she wears, and how much she weighs.

The call went out on Reddit from user 7Pascal posting:

There’s some really awful stuff on there. Strangely enough, if Bernie supporters had said it, we’d be called sexist Berniebros. Let’s defend the unshakeable defense she gave of Bernie!

EDIT: The Clinton campaign loves these hit and run kind of attacks. They perpetuate things, and then when they’re called out they call foul for being “attacked”. If we don’t defend Bernie and Jane, people will believe we can’t defend it. #JANEFORFLOTUS

This post is actually the result of a tweet I received in response to something I posted:

Jane Sanders need to shut her fat ugly face! #feelthebern are losers and poor bums with no success in life listening to a submissive woman!

There's plenty more at the link and tons more if one is wanting to be invested with a fuller picture.

@TheCobbler,
I surprised myself by tearing at that, have a slightly wet face now. I think those happy tears are more for Boxer, but some of them are for the combo of seeing and hearing Boxer speaking (again, I have not been up to date on her since I moved from California 10 years ago) and her joy about Hillary Clinton.

@bobsal u1553115,
I remember not always agreeing with her, but I didn't always agree with Diane Feinstein, or even my more local female politicians that I happened to be friends with, knowing them back on their way up the ladder and still knowing them when they got into office. Often agreed, but not always.

@revelette2,
I'm chary about there being super delegates at all. To me, they are counter to the concept of one person, one vote. I'm sort of chary about delegates at all, but regular delegates make sense with the party system. I thumbed you up for presenting that helpful link.

@bobsal u1553115,
So Bobsal, what is your point? Are we to make some generalization about Hillary's campaign because of the slime that some people that are supposedly her supporters spewed out on the internet?
If so, would you make the same kind of generalization about Bernie's campaign when you see samples of the digital sewage that some Bernie followers continuously shovel out about Hillary?

@bobsal u1553115,
Beauty is only skin deep and if Jane wants to think she is the cat's meow fine, but inside she is as crooked and her husband.

The Hillary camp is pro woman's rights not pro woman's wrongs.

Let's see those tax returns Jane..

@ossobuco,
The delegates are part of our checks and balances unless the populace become so blinded by the media that they might vote for a Bernie or Trump.

I applaud the delegate system.

Something needs to save us from these America hater candidates.

@bobsal u1553115,
No, the big mistake is considering Bernie a democrat.

I don't consider Bernie to be much more than a greedy America hater just like Trump.

Glad Bernie will be gone soon.

And where is the umm, other side of the story?

You know it takes two to tango...

It seems these days you are only interested in one side.

Every single presidential nominee since 1976 has released their tax returns, but Donald Trump has refused.

@bobsal u1553115,
This piece proves my allegation that the media is bought by big money. Mr Franklin said he was using his judgement to deceide who would make the best candidate. He never said my judgement is more important than the judgement of the Minnesota voters. As usual some politician is distorting his words for political gain. Since he knows both candidates personally I will defer to his judgement.

@ossobuco,
I am overwhelmed by the same sense of pride and elation! (yes tears)

I literally feel ashamed that I voted for McCain/Palin, I smartened up and voted for President Obama for his last term.

It feels good to finally be on the right side of progressive history, Hillary 2016!
