@bobsal u1553115,
I hope Trump fails to get the required delegates. That'll relieve us from considering him for the highest office of the land. I don't want to see a TRUMP sign on top of the White House.

@cicerone imposter,
At worst we may have to vote for Hillary Clinton. I have no problems with that.

Thing is, I feared Trump and Cruz - for different reasons. I feared the clown megalomaniac Trump because I think his reality star schtick could beat the Democratic nominee and win him the white house. I think Cruz would have a harder time in a head to head with the Dem nominee, but I feared him because I believe he is truly evil and crazy, and I feared what he would do if he got in.

@snood,
My wife thinks Ted Cruz looks like a gangster. Doesn't to me, but ..... what do I know?

@cicerone imposter,
I think the resemblance between him and Joseph McCarthy is eerie.

@snood,
Never thought of that, but thinking about Trump's potential, he may over-do McCarthy. As a xenophobe and racist, we never know how far Trump will go with his 'power.' With the republican control of congress, anything is possible.

That's why we have to make sure he doesn't win.

@snood,
I'm not hearing much about the Congressional elections, maybe thats because the candidates are trying to be the solid winners next November. November folks, its only March and the freaking daffodils haven't even sprouted. Although the toothless stupid folks turn up for Trumps hate rallies, I'm not sure if they are registered voters. I suspect they turn up hoping for a riot.

@glitterbag,
Good point Glitter. In our concentration on the presidential race we seem to have forgotten the importance of electing senators and representatives. Big mistake. As long as we have the republican congress of no nothing will get done.

Little chance of stopping him. The damage to Mr. Obama's second term caused by the 2013 gun control debacle guarantees that the Democrats are going to lose the 2016 election.

@RABEL222,
I hope republicans understand this gridlock, and replace all of them at their next election cycle. Better yet, they should be recalled.

@RABEL222,
The republicans are tearing themselves apart. And dopes like the member who thinks voters will punish office seekers because Obama seeks a safer domestic environment, will be spitting in the wind.

I get no pleasure seeing the Republicans implode, but now I'm seeing Lindsey Graham warning his party they might have to live by the impediments they impose on the President, if they manage to win the House next November. Democrats won't always be the majority and the Republicans will not be granted perpetual dominance either. But his colleagues treat him with a tad of respect, because deep down they know they will have to abide by any rules they decide to apply to thwart the hated democrats.

Yeah, I know, I know. And the next several POTUS elections too, right?

@snood,
Sure, gun control is the primary issue for republicans, because it was only about registration of guns to buyers.

Different causes. 2016 is caused by the damage that was done to Mr. Obama's second term by the 2013 gun control debacle.

The rest of the victories will be caused by Mr. Trump convincing a section of the Democratic base to become Republicans. Broadening the Republican base and shrinking the Democratic base will give the Republicans a number of additional victories before the Democratic Party can adjust.

Well, I guess the important thing is that YOU believe all that.

@Suttle Tea,
What's sad is that you guys on the left boil women's health down to a single issue.

@Baldimo,
Women's health is a single issue? Really? BTW, I'm not on the 'left.'
Have you heard of the republican gridlock yet? Just wondering.
