Bob you stood with Bush too 100%.... So did a majority of Americans, and today (as a democrat) I still support the patriot act.

But I do think that gun manufacturers should be liable for the guns they sell to virtually ANYONE.

Bernie thinks gun manufactures should get a free pass. I wonder how much the NRA paid him to vote that way?

THe problem with your statement is that gun manufacturers do not sell guns to anyone except gun stores. Would you hold a car company liable if someone bought their one of their cars and plowed into a crowd of people? Should Ford be held accountable for what the driver of the car did?

Unfettered sales? I guess you miss the part where all gun stores have to be licensed by the federal govt. You know that pesky FFLs (Federal Firearms License) that are required by gun stores to even sell a gun? Unfettered sales, as in everyone who purchases a gun from a gun store has to have a Federal background check done? If you don't pass the background check, they can't sell you a gun. That type of unfettered sales?

What you mean to say is that because guns are still for sale in the US, you have a problem with that and any politician who doesn't support your opinion is a bad politician. That's really what you mean.

How do private sales and gun shows fit into your very well regulated description of how guns are sold?

I don't have a problem with either one of them as I don't think well regulated applies to gun laws. A well regulated militia, I take to mean a well trained militia. Unlike some of you, I think our current gun laws are sufficient but they should be enforced.

Regulate:

Control or supervise being the key words there. A well controlled militia or a well supervised militia? It still applies to the militia and not the guns. It doesn't say a well regulated arm or firearm.
