Though I am currently an agnostic, I think if people are going to try and use the Bible for political gain they should at least know what it actually says...

I did my homework... For years I have studied various religions and taken a neutral stance on what truth is...

The Bible is not devoid of truth, though it is rare, even Fox News sometimes tells the truth.

Take from it what is of value and leave the rest.

The greatest error is letting republicans define what it means to be a Christian...

Jesus probably did not even exist... But the story of a man who was crucified by "law enforcement" and gave his life as a martyr to free people from religious tyranny and change the hearts and minds of the world maybe still has some value in this day and age don't you think?

My point is, it is the message that is underneath the story and not the superficial surface... like NOT judging someone by the color of their skin but instead by the content of their character.

I see beyond the surface of religion to find any possible truth that is within while leaving behind the lies and hate...

I am an agnostic which means I don't know if God exists or not, and therefore it is within reason to consider the scriptures for any value they might contain and not toss it completely for my own narrow view of life.

Trump lost the vote in 16. His buds lost again in 18. He's never won an elkection on his own. He's never come close to a majority in four years, and he's nowhere near one now, and the country has had their minds made up for four years and ninds aren't chang now.
