No, the war was not fought in the desert... Trump thinks he is using religion but he is using darkness and blindness.
The temptation of Jesus occurred in the desert.
But the war was fought in hell, the grave. (it seems you live in blindness also)
Jesus gave his body, it was not taken from him...
Much like the brave men and women give their bodies for our country as a selfless sacrifice as a gift to keep us free and sovereign.
1 John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he [Jesus] laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Comment:
We wrestle against the, "rulers of darkness of this world" any idea who that might be?
The rulers who live in darkness... Because they see and perceive only the fleshly sacrifice and not the spiritual triumph. They see the surface and not the heart behind it. They themselves are the only thing that "matters".
They see only the death of the sacrifice and not the glory of the spirit.
Because their eyes are blind to the spirit and the purpose of service.
Romans 8
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Comment:
The carnally minded see only the fleshly sacrifice and not the spiritual service and they cannot please God.
Jesus died and went into hell after he gave his fleshly life and battled the adversary on our behalf, he led captivity captive, freed the angels that were chained there, he took of the spoils of war and triumphed over the adversary and gave gifts to humanity. These gifts are stars... they are "Christ in us" (christian = christ-in) the new birth.
He died in the flesh so we can live in the spirit.
Jesus was not a sucker or a loser...
He is the savior of humanity to those who can perceive the spirit...and an example of all who love others with the love of God. A quality missing from the majority of the republican party.
So no, the war was not in the desert... Your war may be in a desert of lost causes, lies and broken promises from your kind.
Jesus was in the grave for three days and three nights fighting the war, triumphing and securing salvation for the church.
...and on the third day he rose from the grave.
This is the same sacrifice our brave and selfless military people take and offer their service and face the uncertain circumstances of war to keep us safe.
They offer their flesh for a spiritual victory with God and walk in the steps of Jesus Christ.
It takes a true Christian to perceive the spirit victory and not only see the fleshly sacrifice.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Comment: That everlasting life is spiritual, not fleshly.
Romans 8
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Comment: True Christians walk after the spirit not the flesh.
We value the spirit over the flesh. The flesh is temporal and the spirit is eternal. Because we value the spirit we can properly value life with respect, reverence and charity.
That is unless you are Donald Trump... The flesh, big boobs and grabbing pu&%y are all that matters. Screw everyone else... There is no value to sacrifice for others when all you are capable of perceiving is the flesh (and the color of someone's skin.).
Romans
38 For I am persuaded,
that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Comment:
You heard this TRUTH from a democrat... For you will not likely hear it from a republican. They can't understand sacrifice for others and social charity...
1 Corinthians
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Comment:
The natural man (person) sees only the flesh and cannot know the spirit for it takes spirit to discern spirit.
Without spirit one can only perceive the flesh... By this spirit are we known.
1 Corinthians 13
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Comment:
Without charity, people are nothing... Only flesh and no spirit.
