@oralloy,
Destroying the world, you say...

I'm sure people thought the Wright brothers were nuts! No man can fly!

Eli Whitney & the cotton gin.

Johannes Gutenberg & the printing press.

And least of all, let's not forget Tim Berners-Lee and Al Gore for inventing the internet, which YOU seem to enjoy quite immensely.

All "progressives," with which the world changed for the better.

If you'd like a challenge stay off your computer for six months. I doubt you can, but it doesn't sound like you'd even try.

They were not progressives, they were inventors.

@neptuneblue,
Yes. Destroying the world I say.

If you want to see what progressives would so if they had a chance, look at what they are doing to Venezuela.

@maporsche,
There is no reason why conservatives can't keep the world safe from progressives forever.

Which Conservatives are we talking about here? From what I seem to recall, you have claimed to be a Dem and only support "conservatives" because of the gun issue.

I'm sorry to say this but I have to say it, you are more a hindrance to the cause then you are an help. The cases in which you stake a claim and pick the hill to die on are not always the best choices. The Case of the 2 Park Karen's is a good example. When you have people like me not agreeing with you, you should likely re-examine your stance. As has been pointed out though, you are picking hills to die on, so you can' t back down. That sort of stubborn chest out defiance isn't a good look for the gun rights cause and makes gun owners look foolish.

You would be much better suited to watch some Colion Noir video's and take some tips from him. His latest video on the NRA history and gun laws would be a perfect response to all those old people on this site who left the NRA because they started to fight against gun laws. It all goes back to the 1968 Federal gun law that was passed and people suddenly waking up to what was taking place with the gun laws. So there was a difference on the gun stance in the NRA between when CA gun laws and federal gun laws were passed in the late 1960's and the NRA reaction in the early 1970's and it was because of a change in the NRA leadership.

All of them.

There is no shame in defending innocent people from a progressive lynch mob.

If you were being lynched, you would be grateful for my defense.

I will always side with truth and justice no matter who disagrees with me.

I do not agree that siding with truth and justice is a bad look.

But I'd still do it even if I did think it a bad look.

When he says "progressives" he means democrats.

And yes, I truly hope they destroy YOUR world (or rather the world you wish America to be).

@maporsche,
Not quite. There are conservative Democrats.

Wishing for progressives to have success in harming people isn't very nice.

And since there is really only one world, progressives will end up harming you along with everyone else.

It is not my world. I am not presumptuous enough to force what I believe on others. That is my world, it consists of my individual rights and respects others. Your world respects the state. You want to make the decisions for people, I don't. What you want is Communism with a different name.

Since "the world" is a little bit more than the USA: that's exactly what progressive conservatives want to do.
From the Age of Enlightenment onward they believe that social reform and progression in areas such as science, economics, education, technology and medicine are necessary to improve human living conditions.

More recently, in the UK for instance, David Cameron who launched the Progressive Conservatism Project in 2009 and Theresa May have described themselves as progressive conservatives.
Christian Democracy and Catholic Social Teaching promotes progressive conservatism in many other countries.

But perhaps you do think that such is destroying the world - although it didn't do so during the last 350 years.

@Walter Hinteler,
If anyone wishes to see destroying the World in action they need look no further than Trump’s environmental record, air quality, river pollution increased carbon emissions, assault on global initiatives to combat global warming. It just goes on and on.

Global warming is being used to create a global government. Humans will adapt to any climate change.

Hm...I would describe my world the same way.

We must be in 100% agreement. I'm glad you're voting for Biden.

Can you provide a link to Obama's beachfront mansion? You can't can you?

The Vatican urged Catholics on Thursday to disinvest from the armaments and fossil fuel industries and to closely monitor companies in sectors such as mining to check if they are damaging the environment.

Quote:
The Vatican released a document on Thursday that offers a guide to Catholics, and all Christians, regarding our relationship with God’s Creation.
[... ... ...]
Finally, the interdicasterial document examines the issue of climate change, saying it has “a profound environmental, ethical, economic, political, and social ‘relevance’” which “impacts the poor above all.” Therefore, we first need “a new model of development” that links the fight against climate change to the fight against poverty, “in tune with the Social Doctrine of the Church”.

Recalling that “no one acts alone”, the document calls for a commitment to “low carbon” sustainable development to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Proposals made in this area include the reforestation of areas such as the Amazon rainforest, along with support for the international process aimed at defining the category of “climate refugee” to ensure them “necessary legal and humanitarian protections”.
