@coldjoint,
I know LivingLava isn't a fan of Rage Against The Machine.

I know Oralloy hasn't responding to my inquiry as to listening to the video.

I also know I don't "accuse" people much of anything. Either there's truth or there's not.

So, I ask you, what is your point of inquisition of me?

Joe Biden’s Long Career As A Racist

Quote:
On the other hand, Joe Biden has a history of making racist comments and supporting racists.

For example, when he was in the Senate, Biden praised a pro-Confederacy group that supported white-supremacists and the KKK and who prominently displayed the Confederate flag as “fine people.”

The video below shows the Democrat candidate singing the praises of the United Daughters Of The Confederacy (UDC). In the clip, time-stamped on July 23rd, 1993, Biden states that the group is “an organization made up of many fine people who continue to display the Confederate flag.”

The UDC has been identified as supporters of the KKK and advocates for white supremacy.

The clip is especially significant because Biden launched his campaign, explicitly smearing President Trump for a media-generated hoax involving his comments in Charlottesville in 2017.

Inevitably this clip will result in a 24/7 news cycle promoting it as evidence that Mr. Biden supports white supremacists and neo-nazis, right?

What is the point of bringing your history into a political argument, it is hardly responsible for anything but you. Or you are not an individual.

@coldjoint,
I already stated:

Quote:
All I'm saying is, there's a distinct oppression for a side of the population that isn't white, rich and educated. If you should happen to fall beneath that line, the "game" is on.

If you choose to only interpret my story as a political argument instead of a systematic portrayal, then maybe you need "woke."

In fact, they were my enemy.

They kept putting me back into a situation they KNEW was dangerous, hurtful, immoral and illegal.

And then came the rage.

Now just think if I were black.
What would YOU do?

I understand the plight of black America.

I don't have a solution. I suspect that if there was an easy solution it would already have been implemented.

I've tried engaging in good faith discussions of these problems in the past. All I ever get for my trouble is savage attacks.

I'm not a masochist. If people savagely attack me for caring about their problems, then I don't care about their problems.

To answer your question, if I were African American I'd emigrate to France and become a French citizen. Their society is much less racist.

Not that racism doesn't exist there, but France does much better than English-speaking countries.

@oralloy,
I really don't think you understand much of anything at this point. Your willfulness and optimism is not shared by anybody besides the minority conservatives.

Yes, I really do believe you are a masochist. Your posting history belies the issues when you say SSS, albeit as cheeky as it is.

No one who is American should have to decide to immigrate to another country to escape difficulties here. It's up to US to include, support, defend ALL who comes here, resides here, wants to be here and already is here, to belong.

France is nice. But WE belong here.

France does much better than English-speaking countries.

Annectotally, during the 20 century a few US black artists chose to live and work in Paris to avoid racism in the US, eg Josephine Baker or Bud Powel. Your loss, our gain.

Generally, French people are less violent than Americans, so our racists are less violent than yours. There is also less outright prejudice towards blacks in France as compared to the US. But our society treat Arabs pretty bad, eg when seeking a job or an appartment. The are studies measuring the difference of treatment by employers of the exact same CV, with two different names on top: say Mohammad Choukri and Pierre Dupond. I heard on TV recently that by these measures, the level of  ‘casual racism’ is higher in France than in the US...

I'm not sure what you mean by my willfulness and optimism. But if people disagree with conservatives, those people are probably wrong.

People have the right to defend themselves when they are attacked.

You asked what I'd do if I was African American. That's what I'd do.

I don't have the power to change the world. And if I did I doubt I'd have the wisdom to change it for the better. Although I do have enough wisdom to recognize the limits of my wisdom.

That's actually the key difference between conservatives and progressives. Progressives try to change society for the worse because they lack the wisdom to perceive that their proposed changes will make things worse. Conservatives are wise enough to not try to make things worse.

@oralloy,
I'd rather try, and fail, than not do anything at all.

You're writing as if you hold a crystal ball, all knowing, all seeing. I have no doubt you are an intelligent man. The caveat is, you're just a man.

You can hold on to the belief that doing nothing is a better way.

I, and the rest of the world can and will go on without you.
