I have carrot coloured hair.

I let my hairdresser have carte blanche with style and colour.....except no orange hair. I have orange hair.

It's supposed to tone down after a couple of washes....but then I'll have lighter carrot.

Going to the U.S. dooms my hair.

Also I am here pathetically thinking how much I will miss the cats. How will sitter Sue treat them? Will she understand Sebastian chews her fingers from love? Will she understand when Viola holds her face down and licks it or when she sneaks up on her and pounces on her head?

I'm wondering if Margo liked the Met. I was rather taken with it myself, but I figure they have moved things around since I went there.

I decided I could only cope with a small portion and ended up in the Islamic arts section, specifically textiles and ceramics which I loved. Saw briefly some other bits.
Followed up with an unsuccessful shopping trip. I hate shopping.
Went back to hotel exhausted. Missed the Cloisters. Try to catch on return trip.

Can't tell you how many times I've been there...but I always end up in the Old Masters area.

Van Gogh, Rembrant, El Greco, Titian, Velázquez.

Ahhh. Just love it.

When I saw the Cloisters I think I remember few plants, except maybe for long planted shrubs. That was in an early week of April. Maybe the place will be all abloom on a (the?) return trip.

5 am and I'm up and dressing for the trip to NZ.
