Travelers to NYC ! Who? When? MAY I ask?

Last night of trip. In Auckland preparing to get up at 3:45 am to catch flight home!

Must be hard added to jet lag - usually better going west, but still there.

Last night, Joe Nation, Lola, Thomas, Tsarstepan and I met on the Frying Pan for dinner and drinks.

Great, great night...weather was perfect...company even better.

River and harbor were busy with working boats...and the Pan was doing its usual brisk business.

The conversation was exceptional...and I loved it.

Got to enjoy my first (and second and third) Corona beer. Much more drinkable than I feared! #needsmorelime

Loved the company! Loved the weather front as well! Not the all-too-buzzy helicopters occupied with ferrying their 1%ers to whereever.

So fun.
And we (I) drunk-dialed Kicky Can.

Yes, Bywater is lovely. I'm in the Marigny, right at the edge of the FQ on Esplanade. I walk the Marigny and Bywater daily when I'm there. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. There are two main areas for galleries that feature local artists (as well as Jackson Sq). All along Royal St in the FQ and along Julia St in the warehouse district (walkable from the FQ, but the opposite direction from where you were staying). I hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit. Yes, the humidity is brutal. Thank goodness for air conditioning!

That's why we leave in May. October/November and March/April are perfect.
