Deb

Don't fret. I'll just sob uncontrollably as I sit like a little orphan.

12 hours to go!

I've arrived. Now living on E15th street.

I don't got no itinerary here. Apart from that mentioned above.

Left my tablet, with all my addresses and contact details, on the plane I suspect Qantas has it - as there was a missed call from them on my phone. But office isn't open this morning - all planes from Oz come and go in afternoons.
About to head out and terrorise the natives, and sort out the subway! Wish me luck~!

@margo,
Glad to hear you're safely on E15th - can't get much closer to the subway and adventures in New York!

@glitterbag,
Hi Glitterbag and Boida,

Plans are afoot on Facebook. We hopefully have some Bostonians and maybe even Soz. Unsure when they will be there.

Will let you know.

Boida I am wondering what nights suit you for either single or multiple events? Ditto Semi-otterly and Glitter.

If you cannot access facebook I will place any definite events here.

@dlowan,
Oh....since no matter how many times I say when we are in NYC I will add it again.

20th to 30th May. We get in late on the 20th.

I'm not eating elephant. Wink

Actually - we need to stay kinda near Penn Station. We'll have our stuff with us and will be boarding the LIRR at some point to go to the wilds of LI to see m'folks.

@dlowan,
I've got plans for May 27. Otherwise I'm free and available. I'm guessing that semiotterly (Sue) is available any day. Not sure.

Please post your info here. Facebook makes me noivous.

@Roberta,
If I forget to post this in the future in this thread, due to my general thrill these visits are happening and trying to be quiet at the same time, please say hi to semiotterly-nextone for me. I still remember our breakfast, she and you and Diane and I, in that deli (which name will come back to me in about ten minutes, it might start with a P). Hugs to her and you. Diane I saw just yesterday. She tried her very first calzone, and I tried my second. Talk about gooey.. my leftovers could make 3 more meals for me; waiting now in the fridge.

@margo,
Butts in to say that subways may have an elevator. I took the elevator in Chicago and was frightened, not by anybody in it, or immediately around it, but by its obscure place and my own discomfort. I've no idea if the subs in NY have them but I bet they do.

@ossobuco,
Here's a link to a list of subway stations in Manhattan that are wheelchair accessible (elevators)
