@Joe Nation,
I'm sure we can work stuff out.
Back got wrecked by chairs in a restaurant in Auckland...don't ask me how or why! Decided after struggling a lot the last few days that I am having a complete rest day today.
I might add that so far our experiences in SF are extremely positive except that restaurant and cafe chairs are universally rock hard wood, metal or plastic and not moulded to the human body at all. I had an air cushion I carried with me...have now moved up to a down pillow. I have no idea how I am to carry it with me. Couldn't find a small cushion with any degree of softness at all. : (
Orange hair is slightly toned down.
After eating wonderfully healthy food all trip we succumbed to the Cheese Cake Factory in Macy's in Union Square....mainly because I was in so much pain I couldn't walk or stand any longer and it had upholstered booths. I had a Godiva Cheesecake and a super Margarita. Neither of us has felt the need for any further sustenance since then...and that was 18 hours ago.
Poor Dodi has been in a fruitless search for a SIM card or a cheap phone since we arrived with no luck. At home these things seem able to be purchased everywhere. Nor have we found a nearby bookshop. I hope I have a new kindle charger available on the 12th at Monterey.
