@cicerone imposter,
Well, best of luck. You've been a real addition to our A2K experience. We need for you to keep it up.

Tak, remember that you can keep up with your reading during dialysis time. I have a friend who used to stress that dialysis time was not negative time; it was, he said, positive time because he read.
Best of luck friend; you have always been a special addition.

John, love, how are you and Luchi?

I miss talking.

By phone is tricky, me with my ears, though I still love to hear your voice.
I'm still interested in how you two are.

CI, you know am still interested! Write here when you can.

PSA - Dialysis time is not negative time because of the fact you can read a book during it.

Dialysis is trying to do in three 4 hour sessions a week (or a slower nightly process) what normal kidneys do 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is vital (literally) not to miss any treatment, as any time missed will never be recovered. Plus missing treatment puts stress on your heart from fluid buildup.

It's positive time because you are keeping yourself alive.

@JLNobody,
The good news is, I no longer need dialysis. My kidneys are performing some magic for me.

@glitterbag,
I can, but I'm not sure my travel buddy (Canadian now living in Mexico) from last year would be interested. I just need to give him a call to find out, but I'll wait until early next year.

@Ragman,
I am hoping Lucy is relieved of a lot of the accompaniments of tough health problems too.

I am guessing she wouldn't remember me with a2k people in
SF but I have liked her all this time.

Things sound like they're improving for you. I'm glad you're getting your own Christmas miracle. a2k's been lacking due to your decreased participation. I would love to run into you and almost all the others on this particular thread some time.

@bobsal u1553115,
I've been privileged to have met many a2kers, and hope to meet more in the future. We may not always agree on some subjects, but face-to-face meetings are priceless events. I have organized meets in San Francisco in the past, but that's old history. I hope somebody takes the lead, and organize meets around the country. We even had meets in London and Lippstadt, Germany.

BTW, I haven't seen George O'Brien around. I hope he's okay.
