 wife giving rides to black coworker

I'm 49 and my wife is 39, we have been married for 18 years and have no children.

About 4 weeks ago my wife started giving rides to a black coworker. My wife and Tyrell get out of work at 3 pm, I get home between 6 : 30 PM and 7 pm. About a week after she started giving him rides she started calling me three times a week to bring something home for dinner because she didn't have time to make anything.

What she has told me about Tyrell! He is 30 years old, lives with his father in a apartment, father is never home because he is a trucker. Tyrell wrecked his car and doesn't have the money to get another one because he got in trouble with the court over child support for 4 children he has" all with different woman".

what has she told you about why she no longer has time to make dinner?

(secondarily - do you start dinner before you leave for work?)

@ehBeth,
She just said she didn't feel good most of the time, and several times she was in bed when I got home.
No I get up at 4 in the morning for work and don't have time

@mike212,
If she is feeling too unwell to prepare a meal, you may want to sit down and sort out how to organize both of your schedules so meals can be prepared ahead of time.

Perhaps you can work together on meal prep on non-work days. That way, whoever wants a meal can simply complete the prep when they are hungry or heat up any prepared meals.

Why have you linked these two things together: 1. wife is giving co-worker a ride to work 2. she has asked you to pick up take out for dinner a few times.

A black guy with no car, no money, living with his father and having four kids to paid child support for.

I can not see how his wife could resist leaving him for such a winner.

@mike212,
Have you ever considered that she feels sorry for him.

He is working but can't afford to fix his truck, lives with his Father and is a looser as he has 4 different children to different women, perhaps he's draining her, perhaps she is just trying to be helpful.

Is it that you have a stigma about racism, size and feel in-secure?

She works you work, maybe she is sick of cooking every single day because you say you don't have time?

Even writing this post suggests that perhaps you think something is missing in your Marriage and/or expectation that she should do all the cooking as you don't have time but both work.

What she says.

What hasn't she said is more to the question.

People that play together, stay together.

People that expect everything laid out on the table don't

@mike212,
She says she doesn't feel good - why wouldn't she need to see a doctor? are you a doctor?

@mike212,
You sound down and out as well as "convinced".

So you think that she likes the "bad boy?" It can't be meaningful, he has no money, probably pays child support or not, even worse.

So back to what's missing in your marriage ?

Because you never answered me regarding the cooking arrangements and that's just to start with.

No point just venting, especially when you have listeners.

So what changed all that?
