That's weird, prince. If you're willing to be shackled, what are they afraid of, your trusting nature?

I am wearing a gorgeous blue and green terrycloth robe. The vertical stripes have a thinning effect that makes me look quite stunning.

If you haven't seen a man in ten years that is.

Yes the robe has a calming effect until you look down far enough to see my spindly hairy legs sticking out and then it becomes quite an alarming site.

Drive carefully, Zane. Thanks for the chocolates, love...the foil-wrapped eggs look like mancala stones.

Purple robe over pale pink spousebeater and blue drawstring pants with frogs and stars. I took a drug and now I'm getting sleepy.

Gorgeous shade of blue. I'd wear that. But only if the collar and cuffs were sparkly and I didn't have to carry that stupid bouquet and doily. The pin has to go, too. But I kinda like the chapeau.

But really-
Purple India dress with orange, red, and burgundy embroidery. Orange shoes. Purple and orange beaded cuff bracelets. I look like a little piece of sunrise. I feel like a sleepwalker.

white blouse with black piping

black socks with bears, black clogs

switching back and forth between the black quilted vest and black quilted-front jacket

why did they crank the air-conditioning in here? it's only 6 celsius, and rainy, outside Evil or Very Mad

I haven't worn anything interesting in a long time. Jeans long sleeved t's boots, that's about it. But am researching my next sewing project, excited about that. I have some vintage cotton fabric, 50's I think, that is broad stripes -- about 2.5 inches of dark dusky pink, then about 2.5 inches of cream with the dark dusky pink with brown floral. I'm going to make a full 50's-ish skirt out of it, with inverted pleats, so the top 12 inches or so will be solid dusty pink, and then the floral will appear from under that it the inverted pleats. About 25 inches long I think.

Sort of like this, but more interesting fabric and the pleats will be closer together:

Will be complicated to get it all lined up right and the right size, will let you know how it works out. (No pattern, just figuring it out.)

Whoa - that's quite a project.
We had to do skirts with inverted pleating in high school, and I liked the one we HAD to do enough that I did more pleating later - but it's quite a bit of work - and a lot of fabric to deal with.
I'm looking forward to hearing/seeing how that works out.

There have been people at Taunton posting about making kilts over the years. Always interesting to read those discussions.

It's an unseasonably warm 78°. Can't wait to strip off these clothes and put on a spousebeater and shorts.
