So......what are you wearing?

BPB

I found that answering the door, with blood smeared hands, arms and face while wearing a bloody cooks apron, and holding a, yes bloody, butcher knife, works wonders. The servants of the lord took one look teleported to the public side walk and never came back. How I miss reading the watchtower. <sigh>

Cinne,
It must be an US expresion for a style of tank top or swim suit. Instead of wearing a bra in the tank or having bra cups in the swimming suit, there is an additonal layer of fabric inside the garment that has snug elastic around the bottom. This extra layer of material replaces the need for a bra, working like a shelf, thus the term shelf-bra tank top.

Not only are they comfortable, but Sam and others find them titilating too. Shocked Funny thing, they draw a lot of attention from men in air conditioned buildings for some reason. Laughing

Unfortunately, those shelf bras have to fit just right, I find, else they give you either no support or mono-boob. I do still like them, however.

I learned about shelf-bras from littlek. As she says, fit is key. They're definitely not for seriously mature, seriously huge boobs.

Ah the dread uniboob.

I'm super boring today. White t-shirt, cargo capris.

BUT -- I bought the most fabulous skirt today. It made me very, very happy. I used to live right by the (THE) Max Studio outlet, in Pasadena -- it's connected to where they actually make the clothes, and was just incredibly cheap. The samples were only one size, but it was my size (medium or 8-10.) I bought about 3/4 of my career woman wardrobe there, at $10 and $15 (and occasionally $5) a pop.

Since moving away, though, Max Studio has gone out of my income bracket, not to mention that dry-clean-only silks and linens are things of the past, mostly. (Don't mix that great with Miss Mess Monster.) But today at Marshall's I found an absolutely gorgeous vintage-looking full cotton skirt with a red, white, black, and brown pattern (I wear red and black a lot), really cleverly made with panels and oh can't describe. (By Max Studio, in case that's not obvious.) It's just one of those items of clothing that are incredibly fun to wear. Sticker price $78, on sale for $29.99 -- still way more than I useta pay, but good enough.

Ooh! I like your style, Cinn.

I look like a total 50's housewife at the moment. I'm wearing that poofity full 50's-style Max Studio skirt I was rhapsodizing about, and a red tank, and was just painting with the kid and she insisted that I wear a "smock". So got an apron. All I need is a Valium or two. And maybe a martini?

You need a pearl necklace, Sozobe.

Are those Max Studio designs online? I've never heard of them but I'd like to see what they look like.

Sandwich board, cav?

More of a wrap-around, Cinn. I am good at origami, so I tweaked it a bit to fit just right.
