Iowa's safer than Rock Island, too. Unless you count Cedar Rapids or Davenport.
Did you create civil unrest in Rock Island over the weekend, Syn?
Not exactly. I looked for trouble and it found me.

It was kind of a small print paisley with little bunnies number I got in Thailand a couple of years ago. <I'm sure GQ will not be inviting me to write features describing men's attire in the near future>
Allan got a tie in Thailand.
This sounds like the start of a trivia game...
Why am I sitting here composing limericks mentally?
Limericks?
Sea green floaty camisole. Blue denim skirt with darker blue embroidery at the hemline. Blue sparkly sandals.

Yes, it's true. I did get a "Thai tie". BTW, nice silk ties are amazingly cheap in Thailand. I actually got a half dozen or so for less than $25.
Today I am wearing a simple sash, wrapped several times around my large, fleshy frame. The protruding flesh resembles a writhing, alarmed mass of manatees who have just spotted a polar bear and are trying to escape to the sea.
Makes sense though, doesn't it, Allan?
I don't see a trip to Thailand in my near future but maybe it's time for some online shopping. New job, new ties.

Do you enjoy travel? I've visited a few other countries, but not Thailand. And not Wyoming.
Currently resplendent in a white cotton robe with a pattern of cherry stains.
I'm wearing my new skirt!
I love it. It's very soft light floaty cotton, almost sheer but lined to the knee... it extends another 10 inches or so beyond that, so you get sheer action without the Princess Di effect. Very full and floaty with three tiers of ruffles at the bottom. A nice rich chocolate brown. Wearing it with a sleeveless t with a chocolate brown, lavender, blue and white floral print on it.

I love traveling but have not partaken as much as I would have preferred over the years. I've particularly enjoyed 2 Caribbean cruises I took 8 and 10 years ago. Those floating cities with all the food, games and sun almost can't be beat, in my book!
just back from the annual summer boat cruise out on Lake Ontario

Vintage Perry Ellis lined chiffon skort and matching cotton beater in a vivid pink, peach, orange, purple and grey floral. The beater's topped with a chiffon wrap in the same colours but a slightly different floral. Very festive. Wore funky pink platform sandals and a giant going-to-the-racetrack hat and sunglasses. Hopefully Bobby got some good pix.
I'm a bit of a crispy critter. I didn't realize quite how much sun I was getting under the hat.

Syn, Wyoming's not a country.
I sit by my computer with my sameoldsameold black velvet pants and (I'm packing and just ran across) my old red tee shirt with Bay Cities Imports flashed in black and yellow across the back. Fetching, I'm sure. Wearing my $5.00 leather flipflops from Discovery Shoppe, and ... my new earrings that I bought on a great walk on my old walk haunt when I was in LA this last week... Ocean Front Walk. To say that I've walked that walk a thousand times is probably on the low side, but I haven't been there lately. I may have pictures, but that was before I figured out that Security had fooled around with my camera again, turning autofocus to manual.
My earrings are worth about three cents and I paid $15. cheerfully, they're my LA souvenier this time. (Give me three days to lose them.)
lemon and lime plaid knee-length overalls over a turquoise tie-dye tank (which you can only see from the side)
