Yes....I'm curious about that, as well, never having been referred to by that term. It could be she thinks I'm slippery, oily or fat-inducing. Then again, it might be <As Barbra Streisand might say>, like "buttah". Or.....it might just simply be that I go well with popcorn.
I took it to mean smooth, rich and melts in the mouth, AS.
dang buttery - smooth, yummy, a little bit bad for me :wink:
~~~~~~~~
When I graduated from university a thousand years ago, I wore caramel coloured high heels, a tight skirt the colour of vanilla custard, and a banana cream coloured sweater. I was dang buttery that day.
~~~~~~~~
today - black ankle-length pants - black jacket - both with white trim up the sides - black and white almost horizontally-striped, cowl neck tank top - black baby doll heels - my avocado green faux Prada bag - and a giant sunhat and sunglasses when I was walking to and from the subway
Not buttery, but it worked. Bru66 gave me the double-thumbs-up and a grin.
J_B, yes it's true, I've decided to accept the job offer. With mixed emotions, but after comparing the pros and cons, I couldn't turn it down.
<--- Gawd, aren't I handsome now?
:wink:
Thanks for clearing that up, EBeth. And now that I understand what "dang buttery" means, I would agree based upon your description of your graduation attire that you were undoubtedly, "dang buttery" that day.
<from a fellow "thousand year ago" grad, as well>
Zane is a bit buttery today in his new avatar - and he's going to be buttery in Chicago?
Is everyone nekkid?
You'd sure like to think so, wouldn't you. Well, sorry to disappoint, but the only ones nekkid are me and the dogs . . .
I'm in a nekkid state of mind.
Sorry to disappoint, but I'm wearing a few articles of clothing:
A dark maroony-brown India dress with same color embroidery all over the bodice. Silver jewelry. The silver sandals. Technically not buttery?
Technically ghee? Gheey? Gheeish?
The color scheme is more Hershey Bar wrapper than butter.
....Getting ready to head home, throw on the swim suit and take a long dip <3-day weekend> in the pool.
I wouldn't mind having a pool. Will have to keep that in mind when I look for a place in the Windy City.
See everyone back after the long weekend....hopefully with all their digits intact. Watch those homemade pyrotechnics!
Back from watching the Canada Day fireworks with the neighbours.
Wearing my black capris with the white racing stripes, a red white and black Team Canada hockey jersey (best golf tournament prize ever!), and a bad sunburn. Took off my red and white striped Cat in the Hat hat when I came in. It seemed a bit much.
Columbus celebrates Canada Day. Who knew? (Is this Set's doing?)
Red, White and Boom was cool.
Red, White and Boom sounds great!
~~~~~~~~
Black and white gingham capris. Lime t.
Black and sparkly heeled sandals.
A white waffle-weave jacket is on and off on and off on and off as they adjust the a/c at work.
Back <sigh> at the office wearing casual wear for the cowardly and hoping this weekend comes faster than the last.
