I am thinking of joining Planet Fitness. Does anyone have any opinions on it? Are then any websites devoted to opinions on consumer type purchases including gyms?

@gollum,
I quit Planet Fitness about a year ago. The maintenance of the facility
just kept going downhill.

When I first joined, it fit my needs perfectly. I went with my son, who
has problems with strength, balance and motor planning. Using machines
made it easier for him since he didn't have to balance or direct the
weights. And, of course, the membership was inexpensive.

I put up with the decline for as long as I could, but eventually we quit
and joined another gym.

@gollum,
I was on the $10 plan, then the $20 per month plan. they took out the payment directly from my checking, so it that bothers you, don't go into their contract.

My Plant Fitness was spic and span clean. I was always impressed with that. Even fresh flowers in the women's changing room.

@PUNKEY,
I guess it all depends on the franchisee.
