@izzythepush,
Are you just here to argue about nothing? I don't get the your point on this thread.

Btw, if your referencing statistics is anything like your referencing Python, it's complete bollocks. It's not oppressed, it's repressed.

@izzythepush,
Really Izzy? Now you want to argue about words from Monty Python references (Hint: you got the wrong movie).

@izzythepush,
That was a fun diversion, but tell me when you have something interesting to discuss on the topic.

@maxdancona,
All we're discussing is what's in your head. You make a lot of claims but have nothing to back them up. When you're asked to provide anything to back up your, frankly ridiculous, allegations your response is can't someone else do it.

You've yet to provide any proof whatsoever that this 1 in 5 statistic isn't something you've just made up.

It's all hot air.

@maxdancona,
That's not from a film. It's from the TV show.

@maxdancona,
Still no links to back up your claims.

@izzythepush,
Geez Izzy. I have already conceded to you. We agree that the claim that "1 in 5 women get raped" is a made up statistic. You are right that there are no links to back up this claim.

Is this something I should take personally, or is arguing about nothing just fun for you?

@maxdancona,
Not really, but if you say something you should back it up if you want to be taken seriously. So you made up a figure which you say is nonsense. What's the point in that?

You are absolutely right. And I have a poor sense of fashion too. Do you have anything interesting to say?

@maxdancona,
Well clearly you don't if you can't back anything up. You claimed that this 1 in 5 figure was being bandied around left right and centre, yet you have failed to provide any evidence of anyone other than yourself using it. When challenged you behave like a petulant child.

Here is the Obama Administration making the claim

@hawkeye10,

THE PROFESSOR:
Quote:
Today, we’re taking another important step with a focus on our college campuses. It is estimated that 1 in 5 women on college campuses has been sexually assaulted during their time there -- 1 in 5. These young women worked so hard just to get into college, often their parents are doing everything they can to help them pay for it. So when they finally make it there only to be assaulted, that is not just a nightmare for them and their families, it’s an affront to everything they’ve worked so hard to achieve. It’s totally unacceptable.

@hawkeye10,
The CDC

Quote:
In a nationally representative survey of adults:1
• Nearly 1 in 5 (18.3%) women and 1 in 71 men
(1.4%) reported experiencing rape at some time in
their lives.

@hawkeye10,
Well at least you understand what's being asked. From your source.

Quote:
One in five young women have been sexually assaulted while they’re in college.

That ameliorates Max's statement somewhat, but it's still wrong. It's sexual assault not rape, and it's college students not the general population.

LOL those numbers and similar numbers on and off campuses are complete bullshit as had been cover over and over again on threads on this website.

Then we have the problem of how those surveys are defining sexual assaults and then using sexual assault and rape terms as being one and the same or at least implying that they are the same.

Hell reported rapes are at a roughly three going onto four decades low and unless someone wish to claim that the reporting rate have gone sharply down that mean that total rapes are at a three to four decades low.

The only sexual crisis we are having is a completely made up one cause by far out feminists with the help of the news media and the government.

I'm not really sure what you all are debating. 1 in 5 women get raped? That is what the CDC study says. Max asked for a link, Hawk provided one. If you don't like this number provide a link to one that is more to your liking.

In fact this is a war on our young men by way of defining normal and almost universal sexual behaviors between men and women as sexual assaults.

I had posted on other threads how the majority of women that those phony surveys had declared are sexual assault victims do not agree with that label and many of the women who those surveys had declare victims are still in long term relationship with their "attackers".

@izzythepush,
Meanwhile,

Izzy proceeds to not provide any back up, himself.

Apparently Izzy thinks he is above the laws of logic.
