Lately, The Darkness.

I like the Darkness' style, their lightheartedness... an old friend and I went to see them play at Birmingham, and it was a brilliant gig; not the best, but certainly not the worst, either.

As for what music I play, I love Beck, especially his 'Mutations' album, & Ryan Adams for moods like that. I dislike wallowing, as it does no good. I prefer to become chilled out, rather than either jumpy or still sad.

You too, Standup? Good!
It works, for some of us.
Many people have commented that I am contagiously optimistic and always laughing and making others laugh. I think that's because I take time to wallow! Get it out of the system all at once, and then it's all good again...!

Lately before going to the gym I listen to the latest Perfect Circle cd...track 1 and the track about boogie monster (I don't pay attention to song titles much anymore). These glorious tracks make me want beat up fat kids who wear their hats crooked.

A guy at a karaoke bar the other night sang songs by Creed and a Perfect Circle! Such a relief from the typical Natalie Merchant, Lionel Richie-type stuff! Something almost contemporary!!! Wow!

I would have to say Godsmack "Awake" and any Pink cd she just makes me want to have a better attitude about myself and everything and Godsmack just helps me headbang a little and get out some aggression when I am stressed. He He!!!

I have to agree with the Godsmack tune, and pretty much anything by Sly and the Family Stone.
Also, Earth, Wind & Fire's Way of the World, and CCR's Lookin Out My Back Door, and Three Dog Night's Joy to the World (They're coming to Boston next month, and they still rock)! But I don't need to be feeling down to feel good when those songs come on, I just feel even better! Did I mention G&R's Welcome to the Jungle? My son's high school wrestling tune; very upbeat and exciting. Smile
