As we are all aware that music is a good way to cope with life's dilemmas. I was wondering what songs/artists help you get through the bad times and help you move on to the good?
Here's a few of my fav's,
Matchbox 20-mad season, the whole album was there for me.
Bon Jovi
Alanis Morissette-Jagged little pill
Mother's Finest-Another Mother Further
Beatles-Abbey Road
Eat 'Em And Smile David Lee Roth
Back In Black-AC/DC
It is eclectic for me. Sometimes Etta James. At other times Mozart or the Rolling Stones.
R.E.M., Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Yo La Tengo, St. Etienne, Delgados, Mogwai, Weezer, Lambchop...and many other things

Is that like from the show "lambchop's play along"....this is the song that never ends.....it goes on and on my friends..........etc?
I'm joking....I think!!!
I find that music from Bollywood films usually peps me up. Kinda hard to stay down with all that chirping going on.
Usually depressing music, like Life of Agony. I have to wallow a little before I can "come back"!
But my current fave to lift my spirits is Audioslave's
"Do you call my name" (although that's rather depressing itself!) But good rock!
the housemartins, the la's, xtc,
no stand up - Lambchop as a band
Celine Dion She truly is unique.
Oddly enough, the blues. Old standards.
It'a almost impossible to feel anything but good when you're listening to Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers' "Fallen is Babylon."
Bonzo Goes to Bitburg - The Ramones
clash - london calling
violent femmes - the first and only good one
stones - beggar's banquet, let it bleed
(recently,) m. ward - transfiguration of vincent
roland kirk - esp. the "reduce, simmer, garnish, and serve" compilation, even though it includes is eulogy and a bunch of stuff he recorded after his stroke
old pj harvey
beastie boys - paul's boutique
taj mahal - the old folks at home
neko case (reminds me of Washington)
sgt. pepper's something something, by some band you've probably never heard of
jane's addiction, pre-comeback
ccr - born on the bayou
do i win a prize?
Yes, you do!! Great tracklist there!
my honourable mention goes out to Sam & Dave's "Hold On! I'm Coming" full blast - everybody needs a good funky R&B tune to groove to when times are tough!
oh, yeah. parliament. duh. "please do not adjust your radio..."
STOP IT, DOG!
get up for the downstroke...everybody GET UP!
Christopher Cross' first album, the one that won all of the grammy's way back when, does it for me. There's just something so joyful about his music.
