Hi, all. Just wan't to say as a Forum Guide, I'll offer any help I can if anyone has questions or problems re this Forum. At the very least, you may count on me for a comiserative reply to any PM you send my way. If possible, I'll try to include a link in my reply which may point you to relevant information.
Be gentle with me ... I'm a virgin in this role.

And, for some reason Blaise Daile's phone number is all over the girl's bathroom....
I'd imagine she would prefer it published there than scrawled bold above the urinals at a truckstop ...

What does a Forum Guide do?
its a mystery to us but it looks nice on our resume.
Well, New Haven, there are different 'levels' of members here:
"Administrators" are people assigned the highest level of control over the entire board. These people can control all facets of board operation which includes setting permissions, banning users, creating usergroups or moderators, etc. They also have full moderator capabilities in all the forums.
Then we have the "Moderators", who are individuals (or groups of individuals) whose job it is to look after the running of the forums from day to day. They have the power to edit or delete posts and lock, unlock, move, delete and split topics in the forum they moderate. Generally moderators are there to prevent people going off-topic or posting abusive or offensive material
"Forum Guides" are a kind of 'helping hands' to all. Each category has at least one, mostly two or three. (You can find them in "announcements" at the top.)
The guides here Diane, Timber and myself.

That would be all the more reason, wouldn't it?

Blaise is a fairly uncommon name. I've never known a Blaise.
Blaise Pascal?
[Besides, in the Catholic and Orthodox churches, on the day of St. Blaise, the blessing of St. Blasius is given: two candles are consecrated, generally by a prayer, these are then held in a crossed position by a priest over the heads of the faithful or the people are touched on the throat with them. In other places oil is consecrated in which the wick of a small candle is dipped and the throats of those present are touched with the wick. In the Latin Church his feast falls on 3 February, in the Oriental Churches on 11 February. He is represented holding two crossed candles in his hand (the Blessing of St. Blasius), or in a cave surrounded by wild beasts, as he was found by the hunters of the governor.]
Is this the Pascal of Pascal's Law?
